43  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Polymer Clay Hair Clips on: September 30, 2010 03:52:31 PM
I've made cookies. I want to attach them to those 'snap' hair clip/slides. The cookies are flat backed.
I've tried Araldite, they lasted 2 openings before peeling away.
I also tried liquid clay and these too peeled away.
Anyone have any thoughts?
Would sanding the backs be worth anything?
Hot glue?

Stressseedd >.>

Any help would be appreciated. xx
44  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Making cupcake 'ruffles'- how? on: September 28, 2010 01:18:59 PM
Aswell as Diane's options I'll share mine too, like the corrugated card but instead using a milk lid (or any type of lid with lines in it) they work really well and yeah, definitely freeze the clay up for a while or leave it over night. x

Huzzah! I've been trying to use moulds for ages now and am too impatient for the old "waiting game" but the ice water sounds like a plan! Cheesy Great pieces xx
46  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Challenge #2: Mythical Creatures (EXTENDED!) on: June 04, 2010 01:09:17 PM
I could kiss the person who gave us an extra month, wanted to get involved in this challenge but the old deadline fell on my university deadlines and such, but I now have 2 (ish) weeks of waiting (Or "reading weeks") to get results, so I'm definitely going to enter something, it's all planned out (even doodled out a plan) and it's going to look fab!
47  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: That was dumb... I need help w/ my extruder. on: May 30, 2010 12:19:51 PM
Not sure if this method had been mentioned on Diane's page, but I stick my extruder in a caulking gun, slide the bar down to tighten it up and pull the trigger, so much easier and everyone has a caulking gun laying around somewhere...hehehe
That is the best idea I have ever heard! That is going to save my hands so much pain, thankyou!!

My awsome package from Aneyhall
(Don't have any of the beautiful wrapping paper she wrapped everthing in, kind of opened it all like a kid and then went "ooh yeah, photos...")

First is my reaver ship Cheesy

Then an absolutely fabulous purse which I'm now using and love it dearly. I was actually contemplating about maybe making a purse for myself but this talented woman has done a far better job than I could!

Insides:

And inside I found this wonderful red coat button necklace which I haven't taken off yet since i got the package (yesterday afternoon Grin)

And saving best til last (get your wists at the ready)

YEEAAAHHH!! I've been running around with them and acting out the scene "curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal" Love them so much, if and when I pass my driving test they're going in my car to keep me company  Smiley

Thankyou Aneyhall, you're ace!
