21  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Princess Clay Figures - Pic Obese! on: March 07, 2012 01:11:56 PM
So this is my latest venture in the clay world - Started as a gift set for my niece and I just built on that. I've loved making every single one of these. But my favourites are the Ariels and Rapunzels.

Classic 'V' Formation

Lined up:

Rapunzel - I made her first, that's why she's the smallest and squishiest!

Ariel - Forks!!

Belle - Yellow dance dress and a day dress too!

Snow White

Pocahontas

Mulan

Jasmine

Cinderella - With Glass slipper

Tiana

Aurora (Sleeping Beauty)

I'm insanely happy with how they've all come out, I want to go back and tweak a couple, (Rapunzel, Cinderella) and make a complete uniform set (Uniform in looks & height) Should be fun!
Thanks for looking!

Nope. Refuse to believe. You've just got an enlarged quarter next to another real life cake....

Seriously though, that is some fantastic talent!

Howdy all!
I've had a search and a mooch on this lovely board (Got lost in the process, been here an hour just going over people's questions, looking at answers, love this category!)

But just wondering if anyone knew about the food safety rules on using polymer clay as cake toppers?
(I'm making a couple to sell and I'd rather not get sued for poisoning people with my clay antics!)

Do I need to make bases for the items out of wood/card or will it be okay?

Any help much appreciated!

Exciting! I'm starting to lean towards a smaller jar swap, to keep costs down so it can go international.
Depends if people think they can get their hands on small/baby food jars?

28  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Jar of Whimsy swap anyone? on: March 01, 2012 11:50:15 AM
I'm not sure if one has already been done recently but I'm desperate to do one!

Much like this. Round 11 perhaps, if it hasn't been done already (Searches indicate not)

Or a smaller version! Like Matchbox of whimsy? To keep the costs down yo'!

Let me know!
