11  Milk and Cookies Set in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by tyney123 on: July 24, 2011 11:53:58 PM
I am so happy with how this turned out!
My cookies look so real I might cry and the milk glasses are pretty sweet too.

The cookies are made with fimo dusted with chalk pastel.

The milk glasses are handmade and filled with tinted liquid clay.

Comes as a charm bracelet featuring 4 cookies and 3 milk glasses and two matching earrings, a pair of cookies and a pair of glasses filled with milk so can wear milk & milk, Cookie & cookie or Milk & Cookie!

12  Miniature British Seaside Picnic (Image V/ Heavy) in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by tyney123 on: June 03, 2011 02:14:21 AM
A couple of months ago I entered a contest on Deviant Art. Didn't win sadly but I'm still awful proud of the piece I made. It was for a club and was all about picnics, create your favourite fantasy picnic.

I went for good old British fish 'n' Chips.

It's wet. It's cold. It's windy. It's Scarborough in October.
Scarborough has to be one of my favourite places ever. This is where we holidayed as a family and it's where I go to get some happy. And now it's the place where I got engaged (and where I'm hopefully going to get married!)

My ideal picnic is one I've had many a time: Seafood surprise cups (Prawns and Crab sticks) Fish and chips in paper eaten with small wooden forks, mushy peas and curry to go with the fish, cup of Tea, cup of Hot Chocolate and to finish it off a strawberry cream ice lolly (my favourite) and a Twister (My OH's favourite) All eaten sat on the beach, come glorious British sunshine (10 degrees) or glorious British rain (you know, minus 4 for something)

The sand and the rock are actually from Scarborough beach.
And the postcard is one I pulled from the internet here(It's circa 1970, but to be honest, Scarborough is stuck in 1970)

Everything is handmade by me out of polymer clay. Even the cups and polystyrene underneath of the fish and chips tray. Grease proof paper and a coffee stirrer have been used too!

I've had so much fun making this, and I'm awfully proud of it, my first miniature set. Hope you like it too!

Onto the pictures!
Offical Piece I entered

Thanks for looking! xx

My awsome package from Aneyhall
(Don't have any of the beautiful wrapping paper she wrapped everthing in, kind of opened it all like a kid and then went "ooh yeah, photos...")

First is my reaver ship Cheesy

Then an absolutely fabulous purse which I'm now using and love it dearly. I was actually contemplating about maybe making a purse for myself but this talented woman has done a far better job than I could!

And inside I found this wonderful red coat button necklace which I haven't taken off yet since i got the package (yesterday afternoon Grin)

And saving best til last (get your wists at the ready)

YEEAAAHHH!! I've been running around with them and acting out the scene "curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal" Love them so much, if and when I pass my driving test they're going in my car to keep me company  Smiley

Thankyou Aneyhall, you're ace!

So I've wet felted before, just a little bit for college and such, but I've seen some amazing needle felted stuff on here and thought "yes, I could do that"
So I did. I think something bigger would have worked better but he's rather cute. But for future reference, needle felting is rather dangerous, I nicked my fingers a few time >.> Heh but good fun, so onto my mini turlte
