Totally amazing! How long would you say it took you to make them?
23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Keeping Finished Projects From Falling Apart? on: August 20, 2011 11:55:01 AM
I'm currently finishing up a fairly complicated image that's being sewn onto a tote bag. I am totally a novice and don't do anything special to secure my knots (I know I probably should but I just don't know what it is I should be doing.) so I'm concerned about the knots coming untied the the project falling apart. What should I do to keep the needlework safe? I was thinking a little bit of superglue on the knots and then sewing a liner, but I wanted to see what you guys thought.

Thanks so much for your help!

25  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Sailor Moon/Sailor V Swap? on: July 11, 2011 08:12:47 AM

I thought with the re-release of the manga AND the first US publication of Codename Sailor V, it would be the perfect time to get a swap going for all of us itchy, awaiting fans! Anybody interested?
I wouldn't mind organizing but I've never done it before so if anyone else could or if anyone could just help, that'd be awesome too!

29  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help Resizing a Dress on: March 04, 2011 04:58:21 PM

I bought this blue dress on the left today and I love it, it's so cute, but it's just a smidge too tight in the bust. The fabric has absolutely no give to it and it's serged so there's not a ton of extra fabric so I don't think I can let it out.

I was thinking of added a little panel on each side of the top part of the dress but it might look dumb. I also thought a complete reconstruction of the top into a tank top or a v-neck might allow for more room for my boobs, which are essentially the reason it doesn't fit (They're not even big!). I wanted to talk to some smarter sewers first before I started hacking this thing up. Does anyone have any ideas about how to make it bigger in the bust?
