21  Spongebob Squarepants! in Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by burntsmore on: September 28, 2008 03:10:07 PM
So I tend to pick things up at Goodwill that look like they have potential even if I don't know what that potential is yet.  Cheesy

I found this solid red shirt which was a little small, but soo soft! And Spongebob Squarepants pj pants. Which, I'm not a huge fan of but ironically I had been talking about the show with some friends so I HAD to buy them.

The idea of adding the side panels I found on here from someone... but I don't remember who.   Sad

I didn't notice until I got home and was reviewing my purchases that there was a small hole in the back of the red shirt. I was going to patch it with a Spongebob detail where he ripped his pants, but I thought it'd look too cluttered. *shrug*

But this is one of my favorite shirts because it's just so darn comfy! I actually made this right before July 4th, and it just so happens to be red, white, and blue.   Grin

C&C?

22  Overall Purse [img heavy] in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by burntsmore on: July 11, 2008 01:16:41 PM
So this is my first post (and the first thing I've sewn since middle school!)

I bought a regular pair of long pant khaki overalls at Goodwill for probably $2 with the sole purpose of making this. Of course I didn't finish it until at least 6 mo. later...  Tongue

Front

Back

Right Side (little uneven, oops! and no pic of the left because it's boring, haha)

Inside (made with old pj pants, I love the stripes!)

Action Shot! (my grad gown still hanging over a year later...)

The arm strap was too short with one overall thingy so I cut the other one and added it but I think it looks really sloppy and I'm too lazy to rip the seams and redo it right now.

And yes, the front pockets need to be ironed.  Tongue

I didn't add a pocket to the inside because I didn't have any zippers handy and I really wanted to get this thing done.

Criticism and critiques welcome!   Grin
