21  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: A new tree on: April 13, 2011 07:06:29 AM
It's absolutely beautiful. I love the highlights on the tree.
I'm curious - what size is it?

Also, you've combined two of my favorite things to paint myself - trees and swirls.

Wonderful work.  Smiley

23  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: woka woka woka...blooloop. on: April 05, 2011 06:25:25 AM
I love these. I've been wanting to do some PacMan hoops too!

Love the (felt?) applique, and the reversibility is awesome!  Cheesy
24  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Dodos! on: April 02, 2011 02:40:41 PM
So I know that when the Hoopla swap gallery starts up, this board fills up too. But I wanted to share my hoops that I made for jungrrl.
A lot of work (and cussing) went into these hoops.
Mostly because it's really hard to find a good picture of a Dodo to use for reference, let alone a baby Dodo, haha. I spent many hours sketching out a baby Dodo attempting to make it look real and like it would have actually come from the adult Dodo and not a cartoon, ha.

So this is what I came up with. I did lots of blending with multiple colors of floss and did just the slightest amount of tinting.
It was my first time tinting (I used colored pencils) and I am very happy with the way it came out!

Hope you like them.  Smiley

And the two together...

25  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: Dr. Who Scarf Hoop Diptych - Dr. Whoops? on: April 02, 2011 01:46:55 PM
I may be biased, but I totally love it! I'm still in awe of all of the little stitches in the scarf - amazing.

Thank you!
26  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Embroidery Hoopla R4, Diptych Round - Gallery (SendOut 3/21/11) on: April 02, 2011 09:44:47 AM
So finally getting around to posting my amazing hoops from jungrrl!
(Sorry, it's been a crazy few days in the Savage household, ha.)

Here they are - in all their awesome Doctor Who glory!
She actually KNIT the scarf and then stitched it onto the hoops. It's so awesome - and I can't wait to hang them up. I think they will go on my wall in my craft wall!
Thank you jungrrl! I am so happy were paired together!

Every hoop is so amazing! I can't even keep up let alone comment without fear of leaving any hoop out.
What an amazing gallery we have here!

I'll be posting my hoops from jungrrl tomorrow...all you Doctor fans be prepared for pure awesomeness!
28  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Embroidery Hoopla R4 - Diptych Round!! (SU CLOSED, SO 3/21/11) on: March 30, 2011 08:18:42 PM
I just got home and opened them up! So freaking awesome!!! I'll try to get a picture tomorrow. I'm so excited to get them up on the wall.
Thank you so much jungrrl!
29  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Party Planning / Re: Guy Party on: March 29, 2011 10:30:20 AM
I love the idea. And it looks great - and tasty. And far more pretty and put together than any man would ever do!
30  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: IT Crowd Quote - probably NSFW on: March 29, 2011 10:28:51 AM
I love this. (And the IT Crowd.)
This needs to be in my office - hidden though, so maybe only I could see it, haha.

Great work.  Smiley
