1  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / My Book of Mysteries! (pic heavy) on: July 27, 2010 01:49:56 PM
Hello there! I'm just a long time lurker, and finally made something worth showing since almost a year ago! Phew!

It's really not a book of mysteries, since it is blank (which could very well be mysterious actually!), but I couldn't think of anything else to call it. I'm planning on filling it with my herbalism notes and recipes, and might possibly make it my Book of Shadows. Though, I'm not Wiccan, (I consider myself "spiritual") so I might not name it that either. Though I did draw up a nice title pic in case I do...

Either way, I have to show it off! Smiley I bound, cut, painted, glued, sandpapered, and stained it all by hand! (like, how else, ya?)

And here's my favorite, the blank pages! I had to stain them (coffee and tea), but I remembered after I had them bound in folios. I took apart some and did them individually, and I also tried to stain folios at once. Since I had 11 of them, I wanted to do them quickly. However, next time I'll remember to take my time with them. Individually staining and drying the pages produced the BEST results, but the at-once-stained-folios produced interesting results as well. I also found that a hotter oven fades the color, and an iron with ironing board is a godsend.

GRAND FINALE!

The book has deer on it because after 12 hours of working on it, I was creatively drained. So I went upstairs to veg out in bed, and I had an epiphany! Since this is sort of my magical book, I should put my current spirit guide on it to honor him and for book protection. He's a stag, and a lovely being. Deer just had to fit in. I copied them individually from stock silhouettes, then hand painted them in with silver paint. I think it fits really well, and it's non-suspicious to my intolerant parents. (Not in a bad way, but religious intolerant.) I love it do death, even though it doesn't stay closed, but I've stuffed it in my bookshelf so it may compress the pages.
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Poppy Bag! on: May 21, 2009 02:44:55 PM
I think my new addiction is going to be making bags, and making poppies. :] So quick, I can do one in a morning.

It's made of denim. So nice. :]

Here's a kind of sneak peek inside. I didn't have any lining fabric, so I had to piece together fabric I had left over from my big-quilting-project.
3  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Winter Flower Earrings on: November 27, 2008 08:12:10 PM

Very pretty, if I do say so myself. Yes I'm sounding conceited, but you should see the beaded necklace that turned into a disaster I made earlier today. I didn't even bother with a picture; trust me, it was tacky. There's a fine line between tacky and elegant with beading, and I just keep crossing it! I think I'll stick with earrings for a while.
4  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Glitter X-Mas Cards!!! on: November 22, 2008 02:36:50 PM
Got some new card stock, so I went right away and made some simple cards. I love simple stuff. And they have GLITTER! YAY GLITTER!!!!! Grin

I thought I had rub-ons in this kit I got a few years ago, but I guess not. So, no words for two of them. I'm not too sure if I like the stickers. Haha.
5  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Mixtape Earrings!!!! on: November 21, 2008 05:05:28 PM

6  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Muliticolored Skinny Scarf on: October 29, 2008 05:57:59 AM
It's so awesome. And stretches! Weeee! Can you tell I'm excited? I'm seriously on a crafting roll right now, but I got college work to do. =[

It's UBErRlong, over 6 ft. I loves it. Cheesy
Question. How do you make the pictures smaller? I forget.
7  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / My favorite necklace ever on: October 17, 2008 11:46:15 AM
And it's super simple! Win win situation!
I've made three of these, and one I'm keeping for myself. =] Best part? All the shells were different! Haaa, I'm so in love with this.
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / It's freaking Christmas! on: October 16, 2008 12:54:15 PM
Haha, or not. But I wish is was. And so...(a while ago actually) I made a cool Christmas bracelet. It even has matching earrings (from a SUPER long time ago.) Why am I posting this now? because I can.  Tongue It actually doesn't fit me too well  Cry It's just that tiny millimeter of too small. Booooo.

So, here it is! =]
9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Jeans to apron on: June 09, 2008 04:47:00 PM
Yea so, I had this idea after watching Decor It Yourself here ->http://www.threadbanger.com/decor-it-yourself/episode/DEC_20080513. Magically, I had a pair of pants that were going to Goodwill today, but never got there because it's WAY too hot outside. So of course, I had to do something! BEWARE THE SCISSORS PANTS. I don't really have a before pic, but I do have an after amputation picture.

And here's my new apron! It's super cute!

Pocket detail

Super bad quiality pic of the heart stitching

And of course, and action shot!!!

Oh, and if the images are rotated weird, I have no idea what's going on. They're not saved that way...
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Heck yes a peter pan collar! on: June 08, 2008 05:18:43 PM
So, yes, first post! I HAD to share my super fierce new dress. Made it in one day. Yeah, freestyled the pattern and everything. Probably took six hours. So anyways, I know you guys want to see, so, here were go!

My super awesome peter pan collar. I'm in LOVE with it.

A not-so-good close-up of the super cool buttons.

And yes, a fullview in my mom's bedroom with a mirror my sister can't get enough of.
