1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: Witchy Antique/Vintage Spooky Labels on Herbs (photo intensive) on: August 06, 2010 04:16:58 PM
Amazing! I only have a few herbs growing myself, but all those herbs look lovely! I also love the canisters, as I need bigger ones because I already have a mason jar completely filled with lemon balm, and the darn plant won't stop growing. I can only make so much tea out of it, especially since the peppermint isn't growing as ferociously! Still, I want your canisters. Where did you get so many?

Also, for the herbs you do use, at least food-wise, it's better to keep them either in a cupboard or a dark jar, because leaving them out in the sun depletes their flavor and medicinal properties! How unfortunate!

Totally jealous! I'm loving those bottles, even the gross ones! I might have to have a Halloween party this year, since it's on a Sunday.

I actually love herbs in pretty jars, and I might have to convince my mom to keep the occasional bottle of wine she finishes just for making gross potions!

That is utterly amazing. And I love love love origami stars, so it's even better! You have SO much patience, I could never arrange them like that.

Nice! She looks a bit stuffy for a Harvest Fairy, haha.

Wow, those are intense! They remind me of the origami stars I see in Chinese resturants on occasion (at least they speak Chinese...) and jars are filled up with them. That'd be a great project! But I bet the octahedrons time consuming, huh? But they're so lovely.

I think I'm going to have to make hundreds of origami stars now....

Awesome! The title cracks me up too, and I don't even play WoW. But it's darn funny.

To help make it close, maybe you could do a leather or ribbon strap? I think it would suit it and it'd keep stuff from falling out. Great job.

That's so true! My mom actually suggested it, though I'm not sure how I'd want it, or how to do it. Leather sounds best, and I'm half tempted to put a lock on it, but that may be a bit extreme, haha.
