11  Cherry Pie in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Junior_Mint on: February 17, 2013 08:21:16 PM

Here's a little pie I crocheted the other day.  There are so many options I want to do now!  Pumpkin, lemon, blueberry, key lime... What do you guys think? Smiley

12  Re: JULY: Yoyo-along in Crochetalongs by Junior_Mint on: July 21, 2012 09:05:51 PM
I'm joining mine (double yo yo) as I go along, but I find the spaces quite big.  Maybe there will be a way to crochet them shut?  Undecided

You could crochet the yoyos together using a stagger pattern to minimize the gaps. Im including a picture so that you can see what I mean

I never thought of that!  :S  That's a really good idea...unfortunatel y I've stitched them together already using the tutorial that shows how to attach them as you go along.  Oopsie!  Cheesy

13  Re: Sea Life Swap Round 2 SLS R2 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Junior_Mint on: June 18, 2010 03:39:07 PM

Here is all the loot that was packed into Bexster's package.  It included an amigurumi fish, charm bracelet, birdhouse, candy, stickers, engraved multi-color seal life art, a picture frame, a puzzle for the kids to do, beads, and a small version of the engraving art (of a seahorse) for Bexster to work on herself.

Here is a close up of the lighthouse birdhouse.

Close up of the charm bracelet.  The charms were the letter B, a lighthouse, a seahorse, a pirate ship, a starfish, and a sea shell.  Then there were blue, green, purple, and black beads.  I left links open so that Bexster could add more charms if she would like.

I am so bummed that the package still hasn't arrived.  I contacted Canada Post, but all they would say is I have to wait 60 days before I can even claim for insurance.  I said I don't even care about the insurance anymore, just get the package to its destination! GRRRR  Angry  Anyways, I'm really sorry Bex that the swap didn't work out from my end.  You sent an awesome package, and I hope that whoever sends you an angel package will send you an amazing one.  I'm still holding out hope that it will arrive, but after all this time in transit, I don't know if I would eat the candy anymore. lol.  Roll Eyes

Well I got my package (already!) from Bexster.  This is going to be a pic heavy post!

First here is my messenger bag embroidered by Bex:

Here is the inside (I love Japan, so this Asian-inspired fabric was perfect for me  Grin)

Next was a starfish full of buttons and a matching bookmark:

Then there was two embroidered pictures:

Here is a close up of the treasure chest:

And of course, some lovely candy was added to the mix:

Included in the package was a ring (which unfortunately was broken by the time it arrived  Undecided  I'm sure I can fix it with my glue gun though!) , an origami star, and a charm bracelet which I couldn't get a good pic of this late at night.

Thank you so much Becky for a great package, I can tell a lot of work went into it and I hope that mine arrives there as quickly as possible!

Here is the sushi themed card that bethiej78 sent me.  It made me so hungry that I had to go out for sushi on the weekend.  Grin

It's hard to tell from the photo, but she pasted actual chopsticks onto the ATC.  Thanks again!

(My fave is the black/pink combo!)
I'm FINALLY posting a picture of my package I received from Love2teach.  It is the last month of college, so it's really sucking all my free time away from me. But I got a job on the pediatric ward already in a hospital, so I'm excited!!

Here is a close up of the uber cute Chococat teapot I got from rosiegarden.  This pattern was from scratch and I think it's soooo cute!

I also got an awesome handmade journal (with pics of amigurumis on the front) and a teeny penguin.  Unfortunately my cat claimed the penguin as her own already and hid it!  Cheesy  Aw well, thanks again!!
