that's so sweet of you...
My mom couldn't sew at all... not even a button on my clothing... She used to take my sash from the club I was in to the tailor's to get the patches sewn on...

I LOVE the last one...

That's why I picked the lo-tops and only painted the sides... because they don't bend...
466  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: help on sewing leather? also, one cream singlet dress! on: August 10, 2008 10:10:10 AM
I'm totally loving your dress. Urban Outfitters is amazing, but your dress is a bit superior...

I LOVE that scarf, and the top that you made out of it... Seriously.

I think they are fantastic!!  I love the Lorax!  Is there some protective coating on the shoes so they can get wet or something?  I'd be worried about wearing them!

Very thin layers of acrylic spray...

I also picked low-tops, because the sides don't bend a lot, so they shouldn't crack...
469  CLOTHING / Shoes: Completed Projects / Seussical Lorax Shoes on: August 10, 2008 06:04:28 AM
I love the Lorax to death... Seriously, one of my favorite books in the world... There was this guy I had been dating, and I kind of wasn't that into him... and when I found out he had never heard of the lorax... I told him it wouldn't work out...

So anyway, my love for converse and my love for the lorax sort of fused together... and I painted some old junky converse with scenes of the Lorax... before and after sort of...

I wound up putting these on my etsy (as a custom thing) because people seem to like them... So I thought I'd throw them on here... to see what you guys think...

They look more detailed in person... Like you can see the words "Unless" on the tree stump... on the "after" shoes...

This is my first time posting anything I've done on crafster.. yeah.... oh and sorry about the linkage, but I don't have 10 posts, so it won't allow me to do anything else....
