1  Painted Bulletin Board & Fun Push Pins! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by connor612 on: September 04, 2008 08:18:48 AM
So... my roommates and I drink a lot of Corona, and for some reason, we have a Tupperware full of the bottlecaps sitting on the ledge of our kitchen window.  I'm not sure why, but we've been saving them.  I decided to pick out the Corona caps and make a set of push pins for my bulletin board out of 'em.  We also have a decent amount of lime green paint from a dresser & desk we painted left over, so I painted the frame of my board while I was at it.  It turned out pretty cute, and it reminds me of the beach.  Can't beat that.

Thanks for looking!

2  room decorations! in Interior Decorating: Completed Projects by connor612 on: September 03, 2008 09:06:16 PM
This is my first post!  Here goes nothing...

I found this idea to make this wall art from those cross stitch loom things and fun fabric on Craftster about a billion years ago, then  I got the supplies, they sat under my bed for ages, and then I put them together and put them on the wall, and it took me even more weeks to take pictures and post them!  So here they are.  I have since lost the link, so I am sorry for not giving credit where credit is due, I loved the originals and hope you love mine.

I also made a matching lampshade  which replaced my boring apartment glass fixture.  All of the green and brown fabric is from an old shirt that is now too big on me, hooray for re purposing! (and for clothes being too big.)
