Beautiful, symmetrical pieces.  They're all neat, but my favorite is the black one.  Do you have any photos of the prizes (candy, small toys, etc.?) that you presumably packed into them?

These are all so beautiful!  Question... did you build the structure from scratch?  They are amazing!

Thanks Cheesy

@Patraw: I didn't fill these because my sister wanted the fun of filling them for her kiddos. Below is a pic of what I put in my doofy daughter's calendar. I had to ask her to give me the first 6 days because I hadn't taken a picture beforehand  Grin

@MissingWillow: Yup, from scratch. Most matchboxes form a rectangle on the side panels when stacked. I wanted the side panels to be perfectly square so I designed the cut files for the matchboxes and the top box in Adobe Illustrator. Used my Silhouette Cameo to cut them and slapped them together.

Made this Advent calendar for my daughter...
http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=436781.0

Had so much fun making it that I decided to make them for my nieces and nephew.

I know they're not very Christmas-y but they're just right for those kiddos Smiley

3  Matchbox Advent Calendar in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Pasghetti on: November 16, 2014 01:03:30 PM
------Whoops! Wrong category... Sorry  Embarrassed

I recently obtained a much-longed-for Silhouette Cameo and have been crafting with it like a mad woman. For Christmas my daughter decides the general theme and color for decorations. This year she wants Pink, orange, and gold. Hmmmm... what can I make with my new toy??? Hours online searching for the right project and... Matchbox Advent Calendar!! (inspired by ones like this http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=394644.0)

My doofy daughter and I had fun choosing all the fun details that went into this project. Her favorite part is the hot pink poinsettia and I love the pretty poppies.

All the flowers are from the Silhouette store and the rest of the cut files were designed by me in Illustrator.

The loot Smiley

4  yet another Sanibel... for the PTA ;) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by Pasghetti on: March 26, 2011 06:29:59 PM
I'm a little giddy because this my first project post Shocked Grin

My dd's school holds an annual Spring Carnival and each class auctions off themed baskets to help raise money for the PTA.  As room-mom for her class I chose the theme "Knitting for Knewbies and Know-it-alls".  I made a Sanibel-esque work bag (totally lifted from dellastella's fab fancy flea market bag, http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=332817.0) and needle roll as part of the basket and here it is...

It measures 18 x 5.5 x 11 inches and has pockets on ALL sides...

Needle slots in the three front pockets, and even more pockets on the inside.

The needle roll/fold and the closure on the front.  Yes, all those lovely 13" bamboo needles were part of the basket Smiley

and just cause I think they're purrdy, the stitch markers I made to match Wink

It was a fun project and I like it so much that I've already started cutting to make one for me Cheesy
