I have a tshirt addiction. I like to buy anything that I deem "quirky" from garage sales, or resale shops. I have piles and piles... I mean I don't think I'll be on Hoarders anytime soon, but it is definitely more than a collection.

anyhooo...
I finally got around to reconning one.
it was a men's large Speed Racer (the old school cartoon, not the movie) tee.


I created a pattern from one of my daughters tops,
added a ruffle at the bottom,
and now its a cute dress!


I am super proud because its my first real recon, first ruffle, and first self drafted pattern!

Hi Craftsters,
Long time Lurker, first time Poster!
after perusing the stencil forums for ages, I finally decided to give freezer paper stenciling a try.

I did some practicing with stencils I downloaded,
then decided to attempt to draw one of my own.

Basically, I drew a highly stylized profile of Rhianna from a pic in one of my magazines,
Cut it out,
ironed,
painted,
dried,
wore.


*thanks hubby, for not telling me how awful my hair looks*

(she has a chin, but it doesn't show up well due to camera angle.)

Anyway,
I am in super love with my simple stenciled shirt!
