was there a pattern for the pig and bird? I'm a basic crocheter and knitter.

I bought the bird pattern on ravelry, but the hat I basically just made up as I went. I've never attempted to write a pattern, but I can try to get my thoughts into some sort of cohesive guideline for you. It's almost completely single crochet with simple increases and decreases. I'll edit with a tute in the next few days...

My son loves Angry Birds, and has been pestering to make him the pig for months now. Since it's getting to be hat weather around here, I thought I'd kill two birds (pigs?) with one crocheted stone.

I did a simple single crochet round for the hat body.
Two small circles for the eyes, and an oval that i just kind of made up as I went along for the nose.
The ears are in the round in half-double crochet (5, 10, 20, 20, 10, 10).
I then sewed black felt nostrils, pupils(?), and inner ears on,
Whipstitched all the pieces together, add a couple eyebrows...

...and popped it on his head.

His kool-aid-stained smile tells me he appoves Smiley

49  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / Possible to use wall paint on metal? on: August 31, 2010 10:20:13 AM
I will be redecorating my daughter's room and was given a small metal dresser (?, it has drawers)
Is it at all possible to paint metal with the same paint that I would use for the walls (or at least other wooden furniture)? I'm thinking I'll have to spray paint it, but hoping one of the crafty geniuses on here knows a way to make this possible.

Thanks in advance Smiley
