I love this! I've had some ideas for hoops, but have never tried embroidery, too intimidating. You've definitely inspired me to try it!

I hadn't worked with plastic canvas in years. After doing this, I have  tons of ideas and a new respect for it Smiley

Thanks!
37  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Beemo IS camera! on: May 01, 2012 08:40:55 AM

OK, mine's not really a camera. Just plastic canvas, and crocheted arms and legs.

Like almost everything else I make, this came about after my son begged for his own Beemo. I googled and found some inspiration online. Then I just had to buy some graph paper and map out the pattern.

I made it so I can make different faces and my son can slide them into his "screen", but so far I only have one face.
I just couldn't wait to post this Smiley Also, I left top piece open on 3 sides, like a lid, so my son can store extra faces in there.

Edited to add:
Here is an extremely crude, but hopefully not too confusing chart with instructions for your very own Beemo.

I love how you stayed true to the spirit of Rapunzel with the colors and flowers. Great job!
Is there a second Rapunzel hat in the background?
