| Brief Bio, News in Your Life, etc: | I grew up in New Hampshire, spending a lot of time on the southern coast of Maine as well. I love things that remind me of the coast and beaches, since until 07 I have always lived within an hour or so drive from salt water. I relocated to the interior of Alaska as something different in my life, after visiting over Thanksgiving. I found I love the closer feeling of community up here and living so far from the usual urban setting.
Crafting has always been something I enjoy. It’s one of the few more typically feminine hobbies of mine. Other than various crafts I spend my time playing paintball (weather permitting) or working on paintball guns. I also love hunting and target shooting. Some time I’d love to learn about taxidermy as well. During the summer I tend to spend as much time as I can out to enjoy the midnight sun, and unless it’s a rainy or really smoky day I tend to put most projects on the backburner.
A few of my favorite crafts are things my mother taught me that she learned from a pair of older French Canadian ladies who lived down the street from her when she was young- specifically crochet and knitting. I was also very lucky to learn about rug hooking from my mother and a few of her friends. Other crafts I have just picked up along the way.
