2  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: twin-sized ticker tape quilt on: January 27, 2011 07:55:09 PM
lol i've already planned to confiscate it when she's a teen so she doesn't decide to draw all over it in black sharpie or something equally angsty and give it back to her when she gets married or has her first baby or something Smiley

and i put bunting on the window too. loves me some bunting Smiley

3  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Re: twin-sized ticker tape quilt on: January 24, 2011 10:59:08 AM
thanks y'all! i do love how it turned out, but i will likely never make one again, unless it's a small doll-sized one or something Wink i added some bunting with the same fabrics as a little swag on her curtain too, which just makes me happy, lol!
4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / twin-sized ticker tape quilt on: January 22, 2011 07:51:34 PM
omg this thing was a beast! i've never quilted anything before and when i saw someone post a ticker tape quilt, i thought, bada-bing, easy quilting! no piecing! HA! no piecing, just beastly turning-of-giant-fabric-sammie on my small machine. around four sizes of one meeeellion ticker tape pieces.

anyway, i finally finished it after 9 months of stitching here and there, and i have to say, i do love it! it's in my 4 year old's newly redone room Smiley

a ticker tape quilt and bunting, how much happier can a room get?

thanks for looking! Smiley

9  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: my stripe-ed dress, first clothing for me! on: July 20, 2010 11:37:22 AM
Cute! And the fit is easy to fix with princess seams, if you do decide a 14 would have fit better Smiley

i was trying to figure that out, the bodice is lined and sewn to the skirt part, so i couldn't quite wrap my head around how to take it in without taking it all apart again. although i'm thinking about redoing the skirt part in the back to fix the zipper, so maybe it's a moot point since i can fix the top when i take the bottom off partly...
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: my stripe-ed dress, first clothing for me! on: July 17, 2010 07:29:18 PM
