Get ready to see some awesome goodies! I felt like I hit the jackpot today at the PO!
I had two wonderful packages awaiting me!

First up, this lovely Celtic Cross hoopla made by spikefan! I love the colors of green used (had trouble showing how pretty the greens are with the camera) it is going to be so pretty on my craft room wall. Thank you so much for claiming and making this lovely piece for me!

(sorry its sideways, not sure why and had trouble making it the correct direction!...soooo just tilt your noggin a bit!)

Next I opened the package from luckdragon and discovered the most awesomely cute sewing machine cover ever! Is this caravan sweet or what?!
love all the details and colors and kiddo says the fairy that lives in our craft room will reside in it while its covering Clarabelle (my machine).
Thank you so much!! I needed a cover and the fact that its cute is icing on the cake!

THANK YOU !!!!!!!

OH, and rscowtown, I mailed your Independence Day garland today! Will send PM later with DC# Smiley

I received today from the awesome Averia!
She had claimed kiddo and myself for some fairy crowns and she made us two of the most lovely flower wreath crowns ever!
Averia, you totally nailed it on our colors! Kiddo saw the pinks shining though and before I could even get it unwrapped she was squealing and jumping up and down saying "oh oh that must be mine! LOOK BUTTERFLIES MAMA!" (she says fairies ride on the backs of butterflies when their wings get tired out)
It immediately went on her head and off to smell flowers she went! Cheesy

And here I am walking down the steps into the yard when kiddo snapped one of me rather quickly and then darted off to go play!  Cheesy
And it just so happens that on the day it arrived it matched my attire Smiley

Thank you so much for our wonderful package! I can see many fun fairy picnic tea parties where we will be wearing them and I think kiddo will be wearing hers no matter what the occasion! Grin

Oh and by the way, loved the card you wrote our note in as well. I adore birds!

THanks again!

4  Olivia Fernly~ or my first ever poppet/punkin :) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Im Sew Silly on: August 05, 2011 08:32:39 AM
I had to finally get brave enough to give the poppet/punkins a go! and so i decided to combine one along with one of my favorite styles, gibbous!
Introducing Olivia Fernly

I needle felted her woolen hair into her head, and also her nose. my kiddo was worried that i was hurting poor Olivia Fernly, but she didnt seem to mind it too much  Smiley

her gibbous style inspired gown blowing in the wind. i love mixing up textures and with her coloration and hair style, it seemed rather fitting to her personality.

thanks for checking her out!  Smiley

5  Generations of 'Mixed up" ladies...sounds like Crafting FUN to me! in CHALLENGE 64 ENTRIES by Im Sew Silly on: July 08, 2011 12:31:09 PM
Here is a Tribute to several Generations of Crafty Ladies in my family...

All my life i have enjoyed crafting, weather it be sewing, baking, flower arranging, butterfly collections, doll making, you name it...and usually i wasnt crafting alone.
So for this challenge, i decided to make something for my crafting area that would be a piece of rememberance as well as inspiration!

I have included my grandmother, AKA "Mamaw", my Great Grandmother, known as "Ma", and my Great Great Grandmother Kennedy. Smiley

While making it i sadly didnt take before photos or in process, i just got the groove going and didnt stop lol. But what i started with was an old unfinished wooden container that use to hold rubber stamps, a broken mantel clock, a piece of wood left over from a past swap, various fabrics, antique buttons & brooch, scrapbooking materials, a sparkly key, other small oddities, a photo of my great great grandmother kennedy, my mamaw's signiture, and my Ma's hanky....

Ma's hanky is in the old clock, she always had one on hand, and they were always so cheerful looking where at least if you had a runny nose, you were stylish! I made it into a flower shape as she use to grow and also make paper flowers. When she didnt have any flowers in the yard and a loved one or neighbor passed away, she would get out her stash of tissue paper and make lovely flower wreaths for their memorial.

Here is my Great Great Grandmother Kennedy in the center surrounded by all sorts of crafty inspiration, most are every day things as she had to work with what she had.

My Sweet Mamaw's signiture on a quilt like background as i cant count the days i spent quilting or playing like it was a tent when i was too small to help as i loved to play under the frame. She and i use to catch butterflies for science projects, the wooden bowl for all the baking of biscuits, and the tea parties we enjoy to this day.

With this nearby, i dont think i will ever feel like i am crafting alone. Smiley

Thanks for checking out my entry! :0)

the loot all spread out in a row! Oh how excited to tear into it all!

Each gift comes with a numbered tag with a story or quote on it to keep me guessing on what i will find inside  Cheesy

Day 2~ " You arent getting cold fins are you? ~ Ariel

An adorable crochet mermaid! Kiddo knew it was for her when she saw the tag and it said Ariel on it lol, so she literally tore into it...its a good thing she wasnt breakable!
you have some wonderful crochet skills and the details are great! the bows, pearl necklace, and the wee seashells on her bossom are all adorable!

Day 3~ "Sewing mends the soul" ~ unkown

kiddo has already picked out her favorites! THank you! I didnt have a pattern for her dolls like this! this may help out with CHristmas too!

day 4~ My or kiddos 'Yogi bear' hat! hehe we will have to share it i think....

Day 5 ~ "and all your future lies beneath your hat" john oldhaur

this is super amazingly soft! and so pretty too...

Day 6~ Look at this set for kiddo and her kitchen! she has been wearing it everywhere..and i love the fabrics!

Day 7~ " all mothers are working mothers" anonymous

Day 8~! Some lovely hair accessories for dressing up! (or daily wear hehe) Something kiddo and i will be sharing i am sure! I love the frilly yellow and white rose the most of all I think...

DAy 9~!! AHHHH this is too adorable and creepy all rolled up into one! Kiddo has claimed most everything so far but this one is MINE!
"Great minds taste alike" ~ some zombie

Look at the little box she made even for it to go inside! This is currently residing at my sewing machine...a little crafty zombie buddy.

7  Fairy Inspired Wearable Art~ or my Messy Masterpiece! in CHALLENGE 52 ENTRIES by Im Sew Silly on: July 07, 2010 06:32:06 AM
I had a lot of fun with this challenge!
Here is a photo closeup of the final result Smiley

I used fitted crib sheets and mismatched pillowcases from my kiddo and i saw it as only fitting to allow her to decide what i was to make...thus the fairy princess inspiration!
Here is a pile of the cotton and jersey fitted sheets and cases...

I found it handy that if you trim away at about two inches or so from the elastic borders it created a handy dandy ready to use ruffle!

I did not use a pattern, just my dress form, scissors, and piecing and lots of stitching. the top and skirt are seperates and the skirt will be worn a lot as it even goes well with a fitted tshirt! (the skirt is my favorite piece)

So anyway, here is my kiddo fairy inspired wearable art....ready to frolic and have picnics!
Thanks for checking it out!

Oh, and sorry for the photo quality...i had lighting issues and tried correcting them, alas i am not a photo shop pro! lol

9  Re: Doll Clothes (Post your projects here!) in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by Im Sew Silly on: December 28, 2009 07:48:06 PM
ooh! i wanna join in on this too!
my kiddo said her dolls needed christmas presents from Santa this year, too.
SO, here is what i came up with. i cant read patterns so i just make them up as i go.

for her Pullip, Kennedy, a matching crochet sweater jacket and skirt with 'fur' trim.

and her AG baby, Evee, an elf hat and shrug. (did not make the yellow dress)

Kiddo was super pleased and i plan to make more goodies for them. Smiley

I love seeing what everyone on here has made! super inspiring!

I am FINALLY able to post pics of the wonderful goodies that poyupop sent me! YAY (had camera issues)
First up, some lovely bracelets! the thinner one has wire in it and wraps around a couple of times and she put pretty beads in it too!
And the green cuff one (which i think is my favorite!) has the most gorgeous shell bead in the center! I love these! (sorry about the lighting)

Next up she sent me a rockin' plaid hat and scarf set, on the scarf she has embroidered 'Craft Army' on it- it will get a lot of wear with my black coat. And then there is the very pretty crochet scarf which will match my wool coat perfectly!

Poyupop~ Thank you so very much! I love all of it!
