this is the first blanket i have crocheted. it took me a few weeks cause i worked on a little at a time. i'm happy with how it turned out.

i know you've seen it before, but i've been wanting to try this for a while. i've made the rainbow cupcakes before, but not the cake. it was pretty simple, just split the batter into six bowls and bake one color at a time, the layers were thin, so i didn't know if it would look ok, but i think it turned out nice.


this was before i iced the whole cake. it looks like a stack of rainbow pancakes .

i worked on this tonight after i put my daughter to bed. i got the picture from one of her coloring books. a hello kitty chef on a canvas apron. i just used back stitch, satin stitch, and split stitch.

this is a pattern from zombie cross stitch. it was my first time using waste canvas. it was pretty easy to stitch on but hard to remove. i guess cause the pattern was so big. i just cut around the edges since i couldn't pull all of the strands out. this is on a t- shirt.
