I get so many compliments on this sweater.  It is my first crochet garment.  It took a long time, but it was well worth it Smiley

4  Mr. Hankey, the Christmas Poo in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by loca4crafts on: December 29, 2010 12:03:22 PM
I made this for my hubby for Christmas after seeing this post: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=365980.0 It was super easy to make, although my hat did not turn out as nice, and I really need to add something to the mouth to make it stand out more.  My hubby really likes the gift, and that is what really matters Smiley

Here he is hanging out in the bathroom Smiley

5  Vine Bracelet and Wire Ring in Beads: Completed Projects by loca4crafts on: December 17, 2008 05:22:00 PM
Saturday night, I was inspired in my sleep. I dreamed of a bracelet that looked like a flowering vine. When I woke up, I realized that I had some green floral wire, colorful leaf beads and flower beads. I immediately cut some wire and started twisting. Here's what I ended up with:

The action shot:

The ring is a little big.  It's loose on my thumb Smiley

7  New Baby Gift in CHALLENGE 33 ENTRIES by loca4crafts on: December 05, 2008 07:44:44 PM
My cousin recently gave birth to a baby boy, so I put together a special handmade gift for him.  I started making the blanket when I first found out she was pregnant, but the rest of the gift I made this past month.  The blanket was knit in three different stitches, stockinette, reverse stockinette and seed stitch.  It's reversible.  Then I crocheted a hat and knit some booties to match.  They are all made in a seafoam green color cotton yarn.  I still did not know the sex of the baby.  Then the baby was born, and I found out it is a boy, so I knit a blue teddy bear.  He has a little grommet in his ear with a blue ribbon passed through it.  This way the bear can be attached to a stroller or a car seat and will not get lost.  The ribbon has a snap fastener on it.   Here it is all photographed together...

And here is a close-up of the bear's head.  You can see his embroidered eyes and the ear....

Comments welcome Smiley

8  Green Fuzzy Chemo Cap in Knitting: Completed Projects by loca4crafts on: November 16, 2008 09:27:46 PM
This year, I have decided to do some charity knitting.  This is my first chemo cap.  I used a very soft green yarn and some black eyelash yarn.  I did a simple lace pattern on the hat and then thought that maybe a chemo patient would not like the lacey holes; but when I tried it on, I did not think the lace was very obvious.  What do you think??

The action shot.

Close-up of the lace pattern.  Sorry about the bad picture Sad

I crocheted this grocery bag from used plastic grocery bags.  It does not photograph well Sad  but I love it.  This is my first crocheted bag and my first time using plastic bags as yarn.  It was a fun project.

Hope you like it Smiley
