Has anyone found any  boys patterns/tuts yet ? Im having such a hard time finding anything that is just for boys.

you can buy the large mason jars at Zellers ..... they were 24 for 12 bucks I think lol

if your worried about the moisture you could always seal the bottom that you cut with a varnish or paint

or you could get some styrofoam (sp)  insulation and put it on the outside bottom 1/2 of the window. As long as you dont mind cutting out some of the light ..... as the snow piles against it it will keep it in place   then make a curtin of some sort for the inside. you could do the towel on a tension rod but use the curtin clips instead of threading it thru the rod. That way you can easily unclip it and wash it
