12  my first attempt at pants for my son (recon) in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by Betty B. Cake on: July 02, 2008 01:39:50 PM
I love to sew, but had yet to attempt making any pants for my son. I wouldnt dare try to make any for myself , I am sooo not ready for that. Anyway, I pulled out a pair of my old pajama pants last nite that I didnt wear anymore and then I grabbed a pair of his track pants (size 24 months). My son is only 16months, but I figured that if I was going to put in the effort, I wanted him to be able to wear them for longer. I traced the outline from his track pants and with a little cutting and sewing...viola!!!!! lounge pants/pajama bottoms for my little monster. The only real trouble that I had was my own fault; instead of sewing the crotch first, I sewed the inseam of the legs. It became a bit difficult after that. I will know better next time.

These a were really easy pattern and only took a little less than an hour from start to finish.

Action shot, pardon the sleepyhead, he just woke up!
