1  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / My first pair of baby socks! on: January 20, 2009 06:52:08 PM
my first project on 4 needles was socks..and they kinda looked like socks but not really so i made my daughter mittens instead-without a thumb...posted elsewhere on craftster...anywas I decided to try again with the socks and made baby socks!!  That actually looked like socks!!

here they are!

2  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Frilly and Pink on: October 11, 2008 05:38:31 AM
I was making a hat, scarf and mitts set for my daughter and i had this HUGE ball of pink yarn.
I am learning to knit on 4 needles cause i wanted to knit socks--not as hard as i thought it would be. I took the pattern for tube socks and just added a few stitched after my ribbing and created my thumbless mittens..these are so cute and my daughter loves the set she keeps pulling it off the shelf to wear it!!
The scarf is very wide and when opened up it makes a cute little poncho-esque thing so i am considering putting a button on it or a ribbon to tie it closed.

3  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / eeyore baby blanket on: July 03, 2008 09:25:32 AM

4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / CARE BEAR STARE!! on: June 30, 2008 08:40:19 PM
so this is my first real attempt at quilting i bought a book and everything!! This blanket is for my god daughter (who is thankfully off life support and home from the hospital)..i didnt get it done in time for her hospital stay but now she can enjoy it at home

i hand stitched this one and it took a little while as i had no inkling to actually do it.....i seemed to have had a little help with the one side..someone little had cut the edge for me when i walked away for a bit so i had to bring my binding in a bit..I learned a lot from making this blanket..like dont leave the room with young ones..and to make sure you know where the binding should go cause it turned out perfect  but the binding is on the back Sad oh well it looks cute anyways...and the next one i try i will use my machine i think..my hands hurt from this one..
