46  Pan (The God, not the kitchen utensil) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by LunaKitten on: March 08, 2009 03:43:32 PM
Here's a piece I did for a recent swap. He's a bit of charcoal, a bit of conte, a bit of watercolor, and a bit of watercolor pencil. C&C are always welcome, I always have trouble drawing men.. I find women alot easier for some reason.

47  Green Man type leaf! in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by LunaKitten on: March 07, 2009 07:43:24 PM
I did this for a recent swap. I used sculpy brown, rolled it out and cut out the leaf shape. Then I built out the face. I used a gold pigment powder to brush on it to give it a bronzey type finish. While baking, I used quite a few tin foil balls underneath it to shape it, so the face is pushed out and some of the corners of the leaf are bent. I'd love feedback, this is my first one and I'm thinking of making a few for a wall cluster!

48  Hand painted Pheonix box in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by LunaKitten on: March 07, 2009 07:40:28 PM
I bought one of the plain wooden boxes at the craft store for a swap. This is what came out of it!! Smiley It's a little larger then a standard notebook. I used watercolors for the background, then black acrylic paint for the tribal pheonix on the front. The rest of the box is painted black, and then it's sealed in a triple thick sealer. Hope you like it! C&C are welcome!

**Note: It has come to my attention that this is not a free image like I had thought. I found this on a tattoo flash site, but someone has told me that it is from someone's Deviant art. Here is the link to her original Pheonix : http://saki-blackwing.deviantart.com/art/Phoenix-15719035. And just so everyone knows, no I did not know this was someone's art, NO I would never do that. I use tribal tattoo designs in my work all the time because they are everywhere. Sorry again, I had not intended to not site her as inspiration, I simply did not know.

49  Chakra Hanging (picture heavy!!) in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by LunaKitten on: March 07, 2009 07:36:51 PM
I did this for a recent swap. My partner was very into chakras, so I figured a wall hanging of some sort would be cool. I had the wood pieces lying around the house forever, they were from one of my Grama's Christmas trees from when I was a little girl. I sanded them, leaving the bark on. Then I used watercolors to stain each of the pieces with the corresponding chakra color. Then I used acrylic paint to paint on each of the chakra symbols. I used craft wire in between the pieces, and strung seed beads in matching colors. I used a clear sealer on the top of it. Anyway, here it is! I'd love feedback. I'm thinking of making more hangings like these. I still have some of the wood pieces, and I can get a hold of some more. I love the way the watercolors soaked into the pine.

Here is a full shot, it's laying on a adult xl tshirt for scale:

And on to the close ups!

Hope you enjoy! I'm not sure if this is the right board for this, there was a lot of painting... but let me know if I should move it! Smiley
