1  Re: WWP Beltane Swap Round 19 in The Swap Gallery by LunaKitten on: April 28, 2010 08:36:59 PM
Wow wow! Everything is so amazing!! I'm glad that everything got to you hawkeyes_girl! I had a lot of fun crafting for you. And yes, the orchid is entirely polyclay, and then painted and sealed. I chose the orchid because they are known to be uplifting, to symbolize the appriciation of beauty (which I always think of when I think of Beltane Smiley Smiley ) They are also known for their protective abilities, and healing abilities (though I doubt you will get much of those thru a polyclay representation, one never knows hehe) The Aztecs also mixed them with vanilla and drank it for strength and power. And now that I know you got your package we can laugh that we both sent a Tree of Life pendant to eachother! hehehe. Great minds think alike. Now, I am off to argue with the uploader to try and get pics up of my bounty that I got today!! Smiley
EDIT: Here we go I got the pictures to work LOL:

First I got this GORGEOUS t-shirt! I love the picture on it! And it has an image on the back that says Beltane Walpurgis may Day 2010. I love it!!

Then there was a beautiful moonstone Tree of Life pendant which I ADORE!!

And I'm sorry the picture is dark, I couldn't get very good lighting today. This is a beautiful copper and Jasper necklace! I love the swirls of copper! What great movement and energy Smiley

Then she sent me a stand with two altar plaques. One of Brigid, one of Kwan Yin. On the back of the Brigid it says Each early and late
every dark, every  light.
Brigid is my protector
Brigid is my maker of song.
Brigid is my sword and shield
Brigid is my guide.
On the back of the Kwan Yin it says
Kwan Yin
compassionate one,
Who hears the cries of the world,
Grant us wisdom.
Kwan Yin
benevolent one,
Who hears the cries of the world,
Grant us peace.

Both are so beautiful and the poems are wonderful!!

Then a handmade  light and shadow washcloth and soap (it smells so good!!)

And then she included candy wands for the little man!! So he can be more active in rituals Smiley It was the neatest thing EVER! And she also put in candy bracelets. She also included a tshirt transfer to make him a shirt to match mine!! Smiley I can't wait to find a blank T in his size!! And I am surprised I got a picture of the stickers before he ran off with them lol

It is such a wonderful package! Thank you again so much you spoiled me rotten!!!

4  Re: Altered Journal-a-long in Craftalongs by LunaKitten on: September 02, 2009 03:17:05 PM
Ok, it has been awhile but I have a few pages Smiley I have really enjoyed working on them, and the art teacher at my Mom's school is having me put together a paper to explain what an altered journal is, along with inchies and chunky houses and other paper crafts so she can teach her students. Hehehe. A bunch more teenagers addicted to papercrafting lol

Here is my finished orange page

And my finished yellow and green pages:

My blue and indigo pages still need some work, but this is what I have so far:

My purple page still needs some work, and a finished bubble page, the tab says Float:

Here is my odd Robot, with my tab that says automaton. And my anime version of me. I still want to find some cool things for the background of that one.

And here is my tribute to The Lorax, and my Bug page. I had a lot of fun with the bug page, I used the embroidery floss to make the spider web, and created a couple of buggie inchies Smiley

More to come Smiley YAY

Ok, camera cord found. Company is vamooose.... So here is the three awesometastic sets of inchies I have gotten!!! Smiley

Here is the set from loves2experiment:

My favorite is the anime/manga looking one, followed closely by the black one with the flowery stuff on it, it's got great texture in real life Smiley

Here is the group from amaryllisroze that she already posted for me, but deserves to be posted again cause it's completely awesome. I'm not sure If I want to frame it by itself, or make it the center of my inchie collage Smiley

And last but not least is from munltstmpr

Sorry for the crappy crappy lighting, it has been very overcast here. And my favorite here is THE JARETH DAVID BOWIE INCHIE!!! I so did a fan girl squeee at the site of that one hehehehe Smiley And the copper metal one comes in close second, because if you can't see it it is Alice and Wonderland WOOOO!!!

Thanks ladies, I love them all!!!!

And mine are in the mail!!! Smiley

6  Re: Chunky Houses 4 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by LunaKitten on: July 24, 2009 07:04:31 PM
Ok ladies, without further ado (and no more beating on my scanner and using colorful language) I have pictures of all of my houses from this round! If you ladies have better pictures, please post. I think it's time for me to invest in some new electronics instead of pretty papers lol.

Here is my lovely vamp vintagey house from GoatGoddess. I love the coloring Smiley It is so awesome

And YAY! Sajona sent me a Doctor Who house!!! And it's from my all time favorite episode!! It's called The Blink House!!! I squeed when I opened this

Then I got this beauty from the always talented alteredmommy!! Its adorable! Everything works so well on it.

And last but certainly not least, here is my rockin house from Pupper. This one was REALLY REALLY hard to scan because she made it uber chunky! I love the flowers and the coins on the front, and that is one sly fox! Smiley

Thanks so much everyone, I love every last one of them! And thanks for being understanding of my holiday and my awful horrible *()*W&#R%(*$&@#$ scanner!!! Smiley

Ok, I have been working on the rainbow pages slowly but surely. Crappy lighting abound. It has been gray and overcast here for a week. I believe my red page is completely done, my orange has a start on it. My yellow and green are coming along but I won't post them till I have a bit more on them Smiley
Here's the red

And the orange (And you can see the little spider paperclip sticking out of the side of the book that I got from Phizzychick in the halloween altered altoid tin swap. I was so glad that he found a home hehe Smiley )

Morglanc I love the last two pages of yours! They remind me of Tim Burton type stuff, they have that creepy yet whimsical quality to them that I adore!

The tarpanda and the octopus are awesome!! Smiley And here are my whimsies in all their glory from viridis! I have no idea how she got all of that in the jar, I opened it and had a heck of a time trying to get the stuff back inside for pictures lol.

Here is the picture of the jar, I love how she decorated the top. The colors are great and it's so shiny! Is it poly clay? We've all been trying to guess how you did that hehe. You can also the the wooden pieces which I think are tanagrams? And A KIWI!! He's so cute! And yummy chocolates Smiley I'm being nice and sharing with everyone hehehe

Here's a parrot finger puppet, a big bug EEK, some amiguri stickers (I squeed when I saw these Smiley ) Some cool dino and hello kitty stickers, a pretty pen and a 4 minute egg timer from her local paper!

Here's some "hobbit feet" paper clips, a lotr card, assorted goodies and beads, a cool apple hair clip and a plastic candy I'm so turning into a necklace! Oh and a LEGO GUY!! WOOT! Smiley

Here's the homemade goodies Smiley A pretty tree patch that I'm going to put on my black bag, a pea pod pin, a david bowie pin, some tomatoe beads, some fimo beads, and an eggplant bead.  She even made my kitty a mouse to play with!! Smiley

Then there was this little jar wrapped in felt PACKED with beads! Lots of them are leaf type beads too so I LOVE them!! Smiley And an awesome Koi fish pendant, it's all jointed so it moves. It's one of my favs Smiley

Thank you so much Smiley This was a lot of fun, and I love all my goodies Smiley
