Those are awesome.  I may use your idea because I have clothing from my daughter who was killed in a car accident 2 years ago and besides making a quilt and some other things this would be really great.

How about some sort of cover for an ice pack that is usually sent along after having teeth pulled.  You could make more than one so while one is being washed the other is in use.
