This is wonderful!  Do you think you might ever post/sell the pattern you made up? My whole family LOVES C&H and I would love to make one but do not have the skills to create a pattern.  Fantastic job!

Thanks for the nice compliments!!... while I was creating my version of Hobbes and goggling a lot of different images I did run across a few patterns that other people have put out there.... not the same as the one I did, but a Hobbes non the less.... I could NEVER sell the pattern i came up with, its not mine to sell or publish, I just happened to figure out how to make a stuffie that looks like Hobbes, the wonderful creation of Bill Watterson....Bill Watterson didn't want Calvin and Hobbes to be commercialized and although I made one, for me to put the pattern I came up with out there for anyone to use just doesn't feel right to me.... I truly hope that you understand...

sharalee.. the stripes are fleece, i used wonderunder on the fleece before i cut them out to make it easier and then an Elmer's gluestick to keep it in place while i sewed it on

cmouse01..make another one??... a friend of mine is try to convince me to make another as well as a Calvin and then he will auction them off.... says he can promise me a small fortune.. .. but I dunno.... i think I would have to donate anything over and above the materials and my time to a worthy organization/cause.

Wow, amazing!  Almost TOO good!  Is the fabric fleece?  This looks better than if it was commerically manufactured.  You are too much Mindy!  I hope they paid you well!

thanks Leslie!!... it is fleece all lined with interfacing so that it didn't stretch in weird ways..... and YES they paid me very very well... twice what I probably would have charged!! when they asked how much they owed me (hate talking $$ with people) I told them whatever they thought was fair

about a month ago a friend asked if I "could" make a Hobbes for their grandson, who is 35yrs old and a Calvin and Hobbes FREAK.... a bit puzzled at first (why dont you just go buy one, right?..).... The only stuffed Hobbes that are out there are ones that people have made... Not being a HUGE Cavlin and Hobbes fan, I just didnt realize that they have NEVER been made into comercial stuffed figures.....

Challenge ON!!!.... I looked at hundreds maybe thousands of pictures and sat down with my handy dandy sketchbook trying my best to come up with a pattern...after a few hours of drawing and A LOT of hours of sewing...... this is what I came up with...

I got the best ever ninni package the other day from Leslie. unfortunately I have been pretty sick with step the past few days and just took pictures.....

here is the most awesomely wonderful LORAX ninni... made out of spiderweb fabric... I AM IN LOVE!!... it is soooooo me




Leslie and I decided to do a few extras for eachother as well..... and she spoiled me really well.... a zipper pouch that I had pinned, love the colors and the fabric is so cute... a pillow that matches the quilt she made for me in the IYP that we did..... and a new outfit for Blossom, the detail in the embroidery is absolutely wonderful!!
