So last week I decided I was going to go out and buy knitting needles and some yarn and I taught myself how to knit using videos on Youtube and some plain old red yarn . Then we took a trip down to Portland and I found the most gorgeous yarn at Powell's that is recycled and hand woven in Nepal. I bought it and decided I would save it until I got better.. well I couldn't wait so I knitted it into a scarf just using the basic knit stitch and I am pretty darn proud of how it turned out! The only downfall to it being crazy different colors and hand woven is in parts the strings broke apart and made it really thin and at the end on one side it broke so there is a kind of big whole on one end.. anyways here is my first attempt at knitting. Any suggestions on what I should knit next? I was thinking a hat would be simple?
I've seen people making those all over this site so I tried it my self and thought I am kinda going for a retro diner feel in my kitchen. So why not display them like people do with flat ones? So here my take on it
