11  Black Books "I ate all your Bees" Quote in Needlework: Completed Projects by beki710 on: October 17, 2012 02:37:18 PM
I love Black Books. Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey are two of my favourite comedians. I made this in honour of them!

12  Big Bang Theory Bazinga Hoop in Needlework: Completed Projects by beki710 on: July 26, 2012 03:56:16 AM
I've seen something similar to this on t-shirts and thought it would make a cool cross stitch hoop. I'm a bit Big Bang Theory Obsessed at the moment!

13  Adventure is out There! Pixar's Up Hoop in Needlework: Completed Projects by beki710 on: July 23, 2012 01:15:42 PM
Going through a hoop phase right now. Definitely my favourite craft of the moment!
Here's my one for today, based on the quote "adventure is out there" from Disney/Pixar's Up.

I kind of wanted the house to not be on quite such a steep slant but I think it still works.

I've got in mind a larger scale cross stitch based on this quote, but for the time being (whilst I wait for more Aida to arrive!) I made a small word version!

15  Arrested Development Staircar in Needlework: Completed Projects by beki710 on: June 27, 2012 01:28:09 PM
I love Arrested Development and this is one of my favourite quotes from the show. The staircar came out better than I thought it would!

16  Harry Potter Cross Stitch Bookmark in Needlework: Completed Projects by beki710 on: March 07, 2012 12:38:31 PM
This is kind of a trial run for what I hope will turn into a series of different spells!

It's the Expelliarmus Spell cross stitched, and backed onto Maroon Felt. I've edged the felt with silver thread to give it that extra bit of magic  Wink

I've got some green felt hidden away somewhere so I'm thinking that would be perfect for an Avada Kedavra one!

17  Perler Bead madness in the form of necklaces! in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by beki710 on: December 13, 2011 09:53:06 AM
I have fallen in love with perler beads all over again  Cheesy These are some of my latest creations

I love the bows especially on the hair clips!

My retro trip back to the 80's

This is my favourite, a moustache on a necklace! I had a look to see if I had an action shot on my laptop of me using it as a moustache but it's a bit of a facebook blurry mess!

Technically not jewellery but I also made some gameboy/gameboy advance pins and keyrings

I'm sure more will follow - once I've ordered some more beads!

18  Cross Stitched Christmas Cards and Some Geeky Badges in Needlework: Completed Projects by beki710 on: December 13, 2011 09:46:03 AM
Had my first ever Xmas Craft Show last week and I made a series of xmas cards to sell. These are the only ones I had left afterwards, I forget to take a pic before and they sold very well indeed! I also had red, dark green, pale blue and gold ones on sale.

A close up of the design

The tree was based on this free pattern, which can be found here: http://aliolka.blogspot.com/2009/10/blog-post_8023.html
I just used the top of the design and part of the base for my cards.

I also had a go at making some cross stitch badges, I got given a badge maker a few years ago which has sat unused so I figured I should put it to some use! Unfortunately these didn't sell very well at all, I think I sold one. So guess what everyone's getting for Xmas this year!

19  Spider Web Greetings Cards in Needlework: Completed Projects by beki710 on: October 14, 2011 10:10:59 AM
I hate spiders, I have a massive fear of them (seriously one was on my bed about 20 min ago causing much squealing until I accidentally smushed it) but I think Spider webs are amazing things!

As a distraction to my major needlework project going on, I made these in anticipation of Halloween!

One is in Silver thread, the other in Multicoloured. I drew the web out on the back on the card then used a pin to make holes where I wanted the stitches to be. Didn't take me long overall, about an hour for both, although the second one was faster as I knew what I was doing! Both sets of thread are metallic, the picture doesn't do it justice!

I just put some white paper on the inside, to make them easier to write on and to cover the back of the stitching.

20  Halloween Earrings in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by beki710 on: October 30, 2010 03:24:21 PM
I never know whether I should post here or in jewellery but I went for here this time  Wink

A few pairs of halloween earrings, some ghosts, witches' hats and some pumpkins!

Made with Fimo, the ghosts glow in the dark! Gonna wear the ghost tomorrow evening and the pumpkins during the day I think  Cheesy
