1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Making a teddy bear from an old sweater on: October 04, 2008 03:55:13 AM
I thought it might be extra work to make. . .  Undecided  The fussible interfacing is a great idea I hadn't thought of (I was thinking of muslin but didn't know how much this would hold without lots of stiching over).  As the sweater is very large, I might just give the sleeves a go.  Thanks a million! Cheesy

I need some help! Huh  My Husband wants to make a teddy bear out of his much loved old sweater for our son.  It is a loosely knit cotton sweater and I am wondering how to do it without loosing lots of stitches.  My husband is 6'4" so the sweater is huge (pleanty of room to make a bear).  Any ideas?

Love this quilt.  Great way to use up scraps and get a beautiful quilt at the end.  Your freemotion looks good to me, especially if this is just the first big project you have done.

Fab quilt/wall hanging!  I know what you mean about getting things done. . . I still have a baby quilt to finish and the "baby" is now three!  Oh well, at least she likes pink and purple. . . maybe she can use the quilt for her own kids.  Love the plain background.  It really brings out the Giraffe.
