I LOVE looking at all of the rocks in my lake.  Once in a while I find one that is PERFECT for making into a pendant.  Here's my newest creation: Dubai

17  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Cake Pops on: July 17, 2009 08:08:44 PM
I make these - the red velvet mixed with cream cheese frosting and covered with dark chocolate.  The taste is amazing - I made them for Christmas gifts and EVERYONE loved them!!
18  COOKING / Dessert / Re: Hot Fudge Sauce on: May 14, 2009 09:14:49 AM
the best hot fudge I make is using heavy cream and heating that, then melting whatever chocolate you have on-hand into it.  I normally mix a higher amount of dark chocolate. it is essentially just a ganache, but when put on ice cream, it sets up nicely and is rich!  if you let it set up, it can be used to truffle filling.  since you don't add any sugar, it's not gritty.  also, you can add a touch of cinnamon or nutmeg to give it a little kick.  i also add cayenne.

good luck in your hot fudge endeavors!!
