Ok this is technically from another swap, but check out what I just got from Mexico!

The wrapping is so cool, I'm reluctant to unwrap it!   Cheesy

Well not before I get to post all the great stuff I got from you, Eirle!   Cheesy  So she did a little stalking on me & not only incorporated DH & my love of ducks, but also my love of lavender and how I wanted some reusable grocery bags.

So here is the package...

And here is the loot...Keep an eye on that notecard.   Wink

Here are the reversible placemats with matching napkin rings.  The flash was being funny, but the backing is actually a green.  I love the fabrics!

Now remember the ducks?  Check this out:

And remember the motif on the notecard?  Well here are the reusable grocery bags she sent!

And last (but not least), here is the lavender sugar she sent!

Plus she sent a bunch of leftover green fabric!  Thanks Eirle - everything was great & you got my tastes spot on!   And thanks for a great swap DeannaLynn06!

Thanks for a great swap, group 2!

I love the machine embroidered ones - it almost makes me second guess getting a plain (non-embroidery) sewing machine to replace my old one.  Wink

Here is the bookmark I got from tvelez.

She noticed I was on the Chocoholics swap & made a chocolate themed bookmark.  Probably why I'm also on the "help me lose weight" swap.   Roll Eyes

Here are the two bookmarks I got from ellenmarie:

Aren't they cute?  I'd never seen a corner bookmark.

And here are the bookmarks I got from cclewis05, with one of those cards that has seeds you can plant:

Here is the back of the blue bookmark, with a quote from Dr. Seuss about reading that I like:

Nice, huh?   Cheesy  Thanks so much guys!  Yay group 2!  Can't wait til you get mine!  Cheesy

178  Re: Teeny mice from reclaimed fabrics with TUTORIAL (A LOT of pics!) in Pet-Related Crafts: Completed Projects by donniesgirl on: December 25, 2008 08:22:31 PM
Ok I whipped up a couple of these last night for our cat's stocking.  I used scrap fabric for one & some fabric I got on a Secret Santa.  I didn't have cord laying around, but I had some ribbon I braided for one & scrap elastic for the other (our cat loves elastic).  I had leftover batting scraps from some fingertip mitts, which I used to fill.  I added a little extra catnip in addition to the little pouch & I used a little "x" for eyes instead of a French knot.  In all, all I had to buy was embroidery floss (because I couldn't find my stash).  Except for the center back seam, I sewed it by hand - I just felt like that was easier.  It took an hour for both.

Here is one...

Here is the other...

And here is the shiny pink fuzzy collar I made for her since my husband likes to call her Princess...

Grin  She's a good sport about it.  I'll have to make some mice for my friend in Cali when I send her some books in a couple weeks.

kayrun - lol - Well I'm one of those sewing people so I could jimmy something up.  Wink  Pattern is always easier though.

selkie - yes, it fits.  I'll get DH to take an action shot.  Cheesy

All righty - here is ribbitingboutique's santa gift!  Snowman soup and a decorated jar with goodies.

Here is the santa soup!  It's hot chocolate, marshmallows, a candy cane stirrer, and a couple of Hershey Kisses.

And here are the little nick nacks from the jar...A bit of cute red & white fabric, some trim in Christmas colors, a couple of homemade gift tags, and some more Christmas candy.
