This is a sleep positioner used for babies in the NICU, it helps to support their bodies, mainly their hips and legs. My family is expecting a new one this Match with Osteogenesis Imperfecta and he has already broken each femur, these provide the perfect amount of support for their little legs. I spoke with a couple of the local ER nurses and they think that these would  be greatly appriciated by the NICU folks.
The link also provides ideas about how to use it. I found the poly pellets needed for the inside at Micheals in the doll craft section for about $10 and used a 40% coupon with it. I believe Joann's carries it too.

I am looking for a pattern for a sleep postioner, sometimes called a "frog" basically baby lays on it, on their back and it supports the hips and legs. I have looked all over to no avail, hopefully someone can help. I know how to sew up the "snake" style, but need the other due to some hip and femur breaks in baby.

After much searching I have found the type of sleep positioner I was looking for. I've included a link should anyone else want to make one. They are great for the wee ones in general, but especially so for those with certain medical needs.

I am looking for a pattern for a preemie sleep postioner, I used to have one that was called a frog, but it was wiped away when my hard drive crashed. In March we will be welcoming the newest memeber of the family and he will need one due to some bone problems. I looked at the snake, but I need something that supports the hips as well.

So I was informed tonight that my SIL wants to have a Hawaiian themed baby shower. Shower to be held in January, but with the upcoming holidays I want to get some stuff done ASAP. I really can't think of anything....please help! I'm usually the one who does most of the decorating, but I can't seem to pull the two themes together. Any help would be great!
