Absolutely cute!

Eeer... as much as I love your finished product, I tried to make it today using the tutorial... and something in the measurements is *still* off. I agree with the person who said it was really hard to make... I've been trying for the better part of four hours and not having any luck because of pieces that just aren't matching up with one another.

If I figure out anything that would help other people before I finish this, I'll post.
3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Comic book character costume idea? on: June 22, 2005 05:46:40 PM
Weeeell, if you were open to a comic book character not a "heroine" per se, why not check out the Sandman books? Death has a lot of relatively do-able costumes, espeically in the Death 'manga'.
4  CRAFTING FOR GOOD AND NOT EVIL / Crafty Charitable/Social Causes / Re: quilts for childrens shelters <3 on: June 22, 2005 05:18:50 PM
How would I go about finding a children's shelter that would accept quilts? I live rather far away and I need a way to get rid of a lot of my scraps, but most of the places I have called won't take donations.

I like how his feet seem to be 3-D. A lot of anime dolls have flat feet. (I know mine do)

If you got a really thin piece of foam to put on top of the cardboard, you could give your doll a soft rather than a hard surface to sleep on... just a suggestion though! ^_^
8  HOME SWEET HOME / Pet-Related Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Re: Sushi Dog Costume (now w/link to photo) on: June 22, 2005 04:46:30 PM
Unfortunately, the link just leads to a pages saying "restricted area."
9  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Re: Little Souls Dolls on: June 19, 2005 11:11:19 PM
Other than making your own pattern, I don't know where you'd get one specifically for Little Souls. But, if you look in the crafts section of the pattern books at your local fabric store, OOAK and soft-sculpt dolls are currently all the rage.
10  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / Help! My paper mache pulp won't stay together. on: March 28, 2005 08:42:50 PM
I'm trying to push paper mache pulp into a human face shaped mask, but it won't stay together when I take it back out. It takes days to dry, and the part facing the mold won't actually dry completely. No matter how much glue I use (I've tried actually soaking the pulp in a pot of flour and water), it crumbles when I try to remove it.

Is the mold at fault, and will it never work? Are some newspapers not suitable for paper mache? Should I just try to use really thin strips instead of pulp? Help please...
