1  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: Maternity Costume on: October 08, 2010 04:32:37 PM
I always said that if I was ever pregnant and it happened to be during Halloween I'd go as Rosemary from Rosemary's baby.

It's be super simple. You just get a short blonde wig if you don't already have short blonde hair. Wear a summer maternity sun dress and flats(you could always wear stockings or put something on over it or under that if it were cold.

And get a small suit case/brief case and wear a necklase that looks like the one she wears with the tannis root in it and carry around books about witches

Mr and Mrs Potato Head
John and Lorena Bobbit
Popeye and Olive oil
3  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Help for Ideas - Rudolph and the Island of Misfit Toys at the Office on: December 04, 2009 01:40:23 PM
At my office all departments on our floor are having a decorating contest for the holidays.  Our department just decided on the theme "Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer/Island of Misfit Toys"

I was voted to be the "Doll" because apparently I look like it, and a few other characters we have people that are going to potray in some way are....
-Charlie is going to be the Charlie in the box(we are thinking of decorating his cubicle to look like the box)
- Yukon Cornelius
- "bumble"
- Herme
I also have a rudolph doll that I'm bringing in.  And we're going to go with a very snow winter theme.

Any ideas on how to pull this off in a bunch of cubicles?  We have 24-25 cubicles.  And not all cubes are next to each other.
4  HOME SWEET HOME / Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions / How to Make an Ugly Gray Wall spectacular? on: August 25, 2009 08:33:14 AM
Here's the story, moved back to parents house, decided to redo the bedroom I'd be living in.  It was previously in all Philadelphia Eagles gear(due to their design to Sign Michael Vick I am no longer supporting that football team and ripped it down in a hasty and very angry way).  I painted 3 walls white, and one as an accent wall gray, with black trim.  The gray is a color called "Mickey's Shadow"...well...the paint swatch looked more silver...and now...that wall basically looks like what color I would paint a prison if I was designing a prison....

I'm looking for crafty ways to brighten it up or make it not so drab?  Maybe wall painting of designs, pop art, sponge painting, spray paint, accent pillows anything really...but just some ideas because I'm stumped.

I am so sorry I disappeared for a while.  I've been moving back into my parents house...gotta save some money.  However, I will be sure that I send on time on Saturday, since that is my birthday too...Smiley

Everyone's feedback has been given.  I don't know where my partner went, but she did receive a while back, so I'll post pictures tonight or tomorrow of what I had sent her

Seriously everything is amazing.  From what I hear, everyone has received.  ehinders will be posting pictures today I believe.(she finally received from me, I sent late and then it seemed like it took forever)

If anyone hasn't yet posted pictures, or received let me know.  But I think this is awesome, no need for an angel...for real?  Thanks everyone!

I'll be updating feedback tonight.
8  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Re: zombies, zombies, and zombies, oh my!...ideas needed on: August 10, 2009 08:20:39 AM
I wasn't able to get the other makeup this weekend.  They had a very low stash of the product I wanted due to it being summer time still.  However they said I could come back in a few weeks and they'd have a bigger selection.  But I may just order online for my other attemps.

I really like the ideas all of you have...the idea of the necromancer for my mom...awesome idea...I actually didn't know what you meant by necromancer at first, how would you go about making that costume, I mean I have no idea where to start.

Everything is awesome!!!! ehinders should be expecting my package any day now.  And I finally remembered to dig out the DC# to send her!  Yay....Everyone double check the first page of this thread and let me know if your status is up to date, so I can change it if it is not...and now....the lovely wonderful package ehinders sent me!

Two t-shirts that she made for me.  The Merlotte's collared shirt makes me feel like I'm Sam's girlfriend and I am running the bar for the day.  And The "Bubba has not left the building" shirt with Bubba hair...from the books..awesome I love it!  And they fit me great

A close up of the pillow she made me.  It's got lyrics to the opening song, and it's based on a Labyrinth pillow that I wisted...so cool.  Ignore the other things, I'll explain later...Oh except the true blood piece of paper.  She wrote my note explaining how everything was done on the other side of that...cute idea...now Ifeel bad though because I forgot to put her note in her package!

A little true blood keepsake box, and an awesome book mark.  So I can use it for reading all the Southern Vampire Mystery books.  It's got awesome red beads that look like blood drops on it.

And the whole lot...my mom took these pictures for me because I can never get good pics of this kind of stuff...I feel like she made it look so pretty as if she's going to sell it on ebay...but I love everything!

I really like that idea.  And I'm suprised because that is no where near what I was thinking, but I really love that idea.  Even if I don't do it for myself, I may suggest my friend does that instead of her "red dress" idea.

I watched some make up tutes on youtube, and I think there are two other types of looks I want to try before I do anything to rash.  I'm going to try to get a hold of the certain makeup, and for the one look liquid latex this weekend and try to do the faces by sunday.  I'll post more pics then!
