2  bike top tube cozies in Completed Projects by bettyxbrown on: January 29, 2009 11:00:18 PM
So, I'm experimenting with making decorative (not really protective) top tube covers for bikes.  My first couple of tries turned out pretty OK, I think.  Check it out!  They're about 12"x4"

4  Little stuffed rabbit in Get Product and Website Opinions by bettyxbrown on: January 19, 2009 03:04:39 PM
Howdy y'all,

I'm looking about maybe getting some feedback, if you've got a minute.  I'm experimenting with the idea of selling stuffed animals, but it's an arena I've never tried before, so I wanted to run a design by some people.  Check out this one I made today:

So, yeah...you think people would be into that kind of stuff, if I maybe did up a few different varieties?  I was thinking real cheap, like under $10, and in a variety of sizes...I figured they'd make real good baby toys/pillows or something.

Oh, and please let me know if this comes off as too spammy; I don't usually approach stuff from a purely businesslike standpoint, so I feel kind of weird using words like "sell" and "$".

Thanks!!

5  Adult and baby animal and monster hats! (New pictures 1/27 on pg. 2!) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by bettyxbrown on: January 14, 2009 01:13:05 PM
I've been cranking these out like crazy lately, since I decided to forgo finding a real job (scary! awesome!).

This is me on the left and my friend fiona on the right (we were on a field trip with 30 of our friends!):

This is my friend Billy and his 3 siblings at christmas!  I am proudest of the warthog hat I made especially for him.  He asked me to make them 4 hats in exchange for him setting me up a SWEEEET longboard.  Billy is a sponsored downhill longboarder, so the thing is built for speed, oh man I am so excited.  Anyways he and his family look really cute.

This is my mom wearing a panda hat I made her for christmas (I think she may have put it in the wash or picked it out, she does stuff like that, and it's way fluffier than I remember):

Here's some that I made just for displaying and stuff:

BABY HATS!!!

yay for being productive!!

6  Glass marble & polymer clay picture pendants (Image Heavy!) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by bettyxbrown on: January 29, 2008 01:27:32 AM
So I just cranked out a ton of these.  They're flat glass marble beads with a variety of images, wrapped in fimo/sculpey, with embedded metal pins.  Your 2 cents more than welcome, since I'm fairly new to the jewelry game...

(Oh, and they're about an inch and a half wide, you can't really tell out of context)

7  Cute fuzzy warm animal/monster hats in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by bettyxbrown on: December 27, 2007 01:31:55 PM
So I've been making these for a few years now, but I finally perfected the pattern just in the last few months.  I've been churning them out like crazy lately--A lot of generic teddy bear/kitty style ones, but when I have the time I really get into the more fantastical, monster-y style ones, and I've been pretty into unicorn hats lately too, heh!  Anyways check it out.

8  Re: super cute kitty/critter hats i've been making! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by bettyxbrown on: February 04, 2006 11:35:46 PM
sure...this first photo was at the bike craft fair, the weird creepy photographer guy asked if he could take a picture of my tattoo...

the second one was at a prom party, i think with the two pictures together you can get a good idea what it looks like as a whole, except there are more little curlicues that come down near the top of my boobs.
