1  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Simpsons Quilt on: June 26, 2012 08:39:46 PM
This is my first real quilt, and machine applique experience! I had a great 7 year old helper sewing on all the buttons (his specialty)

Thanks for looking!
2  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / A is for Apple, N is for ? on: August 02, 2005 07:44:22 AM
After watching my baby throw his blocks with alarming velocity, I have decided to craft up some soft blocks out of felt. I'm planning on adding the alphabet, and thought some cute appliques would be nice too. Problem is, I'm stuck on a few letters. I've polled the friends and family, with some good ideas, but non crafters think it's a breeze to applique complicated illustrations (Jungle? Noodles? Where would I even start?). Anyone got some ideas for J  or N  that would render themselves well in applique felt format?
Oh, and for the record, I've got so far:
Hat (this is kinda lame, so feel free to brainstorm on this one too)
Ice Cream
Xylophone (is there any other X?)
Zebra ( I found zebra paterned felt, yay!)
Here's a link to some I've done already, to give you an idea where I'm heading with this http://photobucket.com/albums/v447/merouf/?action=view&current=craftster.jpg
Thanks for your help guys!
