1  Vinyl skirt :) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by angelusnoctis on: October 31, 2010 01:11:27 PM
I attended to a fetish party some weeks ago, and I decided to make a vinyl skirt matching a red and black corset I have. This is the second skirt I make, so I was afraid that the result was not going to be wearable, but I finally manage to make it quite good ^^

I tried to put a hidden zipper, but I could not make it perfectly, so yo can see the black zipper there...

Here you have a couple of photos. Thanks for looking!!

2  Zebra buttercup bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by angelusnoctis on: October 02, 2010 10:56:59 AM
I made this yesterday, using the buttercup pattern (http://www.made-by-rae.com/2009/02/free-buttercup-bag-sewing-pattern.html), and adding a zipper. This is my first bag with a zipper to close the entire bag, so as it is not perfect, I'm really proud of it Cheesy

Hope you like it. Thanks for looking!

3  Re: Tutorial: dead cat bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by angelusnoctis on: October 02, 2010 10:49:17 AM
I had this post bookmarked, waiting for some free time to make my own dead cat bag... And I finally did it!

I used fur for it, and I split the body pieces in 2, so the direction of the fur is from the back to the belly in both sides. I also made a kind of collar, and my cat's eyes are 2 crosses of felt. As my zipper was really small and was kind of hidden inside de fur, I also added a little chain with a heart to make it easy to open. Hope you like it.

Thank you very much for the tutorial! Cheesy

4  Vinyl cushions for my new sofa! ^^ in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by angelusnoctis on: August 22, 2010 04:47:03 AM
Well, this is my first post about crafts for home... Here you have a couple of cushions I've made for my new white sofa. I wanted to have a black sofa at my new home, but there was a great offer at the Ikea store and we finally bought it white. I thought the sofa didn't completely match with all our black furniture, so I decided to make some black & white cushions with one of my favorite materials: vinyl.

So here you have: one is black and white vinyl, and I added buckles in the middle (it looks as if it was a corset or something like that Tongue), and the other one is vinyl covered by black net fabric.

Detail of the buckles:

It took me a lot of time to sew this small pieces of vinyl for the buckles, but I think they look great Smiley

Thanks for looking, comments are welcome! Cheesy

5  Re: Corset and tute! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by angelusnoctis on: August 18, 2010 10:05:57 AM
First, I have to thank you, Roethke, for this great tutorial. I wanted to make a corset since I discovered it years ago, but I wasn't able to find quality grommets for it in my city. Some months ago I moved to the capital of my country, and here I've found lots of nice shops full of nice things!! I finally found the perfect grommets on Monday... and two days later... here is my corset! I hope you like it ^^

Detail:

This is my first corset and my second garment (I've just made some bags, cushions and a skirt before), so I'm really happy with the result. My hip is bigger than my chest, that's why it looks "smaller" on the bottom part, but the measurements were ok.

Thank you very much again for the tute... I'm looking forward to this weekend to wear my new zebra corset!! Cheesy

By the way, sorry if I make mistakes with my english, it's not my mother tongue Tongue

6  2nd & 3rd bags + a fanny pack!! (lots of pics!) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by angelusnoctis on: June 22, 2008 12:30:07 PM
I've been working on new bags these days, but I found that my first bag was a lot better than my 2nd and 3rd ones...

This is the second bag I make, it was really hard to sew the lining... so I got some creases in the sewing line.

I made this tulle and bow combination for the sides. I like them, but the bag finally turned out quite small due to my mistakes sewing! I don't know if I'm using it...

My third bag (using the same shape I made for the first one):

I used a nice badge I bought in Germany, and I also made this detail:

And... my first zippered pocket for the lining!

My 4th attempt with bags led me to make something like a fanny pack. I had this in mind before, but I was absolutely convinced of it after seeing this one: http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=250523.msg2784228#msg2784228

And... This is the one I made!! I wanted to use vinyl piping, I didn't find it in the stores, so I made it myself!! (I'm really proud of that! Cheesy)

I love my new fanny pack, and I think that it finally turned out really similar to my style, so I think I'm using it a lot! (as you see, I always use black for everything, I love that colour).

Thanks for looking!

7  Re: My first skirt!! ^^ in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by angelusnoctis on: June 01, 2008 12:54:15 PM
Thanks for your commets. Here I add some new photos of the problems I've had with the skirt.

1. The wrinkles in the satin tape, that make light reflect in a strange way (fabric is circle cut and tape is straight, so I have no idea about how manage this).

2. Another wrinkle that appeared when I was trying to sew the zipper. It makes a strange bulge when I wear the skirt.

3. And... I could not make that better!!!! My mess behind the zipper. I had so much layers of fabric that it became really difficult!

Note: I've just checked the dictionary, I think that I should say "crease" instead "wrinkle"... Sorry for my bad English!

8  My first skirt!! ^^ in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by angelusnoctis on: June 01, 2008 11:20:36 AM
After my first bag and a purse, I tried the circle skirt. This has been really hard to make, and I had some problems putting the zipper. But here it is. I don't know if I'm wearing it, as it has wrinkles in the satin tape attached to the tulle (the tulle is circle but the satin tape isn't), and finally the waistband is not as good as I wanted (it's quite big in the waist).

Anyway, I'm quite happy with it, as I have learned a lot! Advices are welcome to solve the problems for the next time. ^^

9  Re: TUTORIAL: Straight Sided Triangular Cosmetic Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by angelusnoctis on: May 26, 2008 12:24:01 AM
Thank you very much for your tutorial... I've used your idea a little bit modified to create this (I didn't use the fabric pieces in the zipper, and I added the corset detail):

Thanks again! It's great you share your knowledge with us, I'm just a beginner and I'm learning a lot with tutorials!

10  Re: My first bag!! (and a matching wristband!) :) in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by angelusnoctis on: May 25, 2008 01:28:47 PM
Yesterday I was bored and decided to make another little bag with the same black fabric I used for the bag. This is a small bag to keep make up stuff. I had some kind of pliers to put eyelets (I don't know the name in english, sorry!), so I tried doing some pleats and inserting the pink fabric to get a corset effect.

I don't know if the eyelets are going to be very resistant, as I got them in a hardware store... It's almost impossible to find those kind of things for clothes in my city!
