1  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / MY Yellow Submarine! on: September 29, 2010 03:56:43 PM
This is my second post here (I'm kind of definitely a long time lurker) and the first painting I've ever done. I spent 2 days working on this for my boyfriend's b-day, which was last saturday. Now that it's found a home on our living room wall, I've got time to post it Cheesy I'm pretty proud of it. It's pretty big (22X28). Since it's my first painting, I'm not sure I would have put it RIGHT in the middle of the living room for all to see, but the boy insists....

let me know what you think! I'm thinking about doing some more paintings Cheesy

Not the best pic. But seeing as It's on my wall, and I'm too short to get it down/get a decent angle, this will have to do. the colors are brighter in real life. Smiley

Thanks for looking!
2  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / FIRST POST! on: July 03, 2008 09:48:15 PM
so.. i've been a long time lurker... finally got the guts... and the time.. to post some stuff... Smiley    as it turns out, not allowed to post pics yet... soo.. links it is..

here goes... first one is my first ACTUAL project... it was my first time using stitches other than SC... so it was fun, if nothing else... it took forever to choose colors.. but im pretty happy with how it came out...

stitch detail

full blanket

edge detail. that one looks longer... for some reason... idk why...

next. one that i finished early this morning... my first time ever making a purse. so im pretty pleased. although, it didn't turn out looking even half as good as the one wibit made......   pattern found here:  http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=193790.msg2042820#msg2042820 im not a fan of large purses, so i decided to make it smaller. and the colors are a little wonky... i used scrap yarn... soooo... colors were somewhat limited.

flower detail... decided to do a different one than the one wibit did.. which i regret. think i like that one better. lil more unique.. but im still proud..

and it holds all the things that i for some reason see the need to carry around with me every day... i hate big purses. but i certainly cram as much stuff into my tiny purse as most people do in a larger purse....  o.0
