1  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / The Office Clock on: May 17, 2009 10:05:39 PM
My best friend's birthday is coming up and I decided to make her some gifts.  We both love the office so I thought why not an office themed clock for her apartment?  The pictures are from an office themed calendar I have.  I got the inspiration from this post I saw a while ago:

Here's the finished product:

And some action shots:

Thanks for looking!

Here's the original:

And here's me:

My boyfriend went as Toad:

The heads are made of paper mache (made from putting two mixing bowls together as a mold) that I covered in cotton batting.  Then I glued circles I cut out of jogging material on.  I tried to use pink material with white circles but it just looked horrible.  I used pink yarn to create braided hair and painted styrofoam balls for the end of the hair.  My dress and vest are made out of jogging material that was laying around with white and yellow trim.  I used a dress I already have for a pattern.  The bloomers were made from a Raggedy Anne and Andy costume pattern I had and just altered a bit.  I found the pink shoes at Walmart.

I really like the bloody hand/feet (foot?) prints. Did you use the fake blood stuff or food coloring?

I actually used red acrylic paint (mixed with a splash of blue to darken it).  I put them on clear mat tack I got from the dollar store.
