21  Nautical Anchor Earrings in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by Cheiri on: June 06, 2009 09:51:19 PM
Anyone that knows me knows that I love the aesthetics of the 1950's (you know, vintage, retro, and pin up girls and what not). Nautical was pretty big in pin up girls and today I got the most adorable little blue anchor flip flops with red and white stripes and I said, "I need MORE!"

So, along came my little anchor earrings! They are about 1 1/2" tall.

I made the anchors out of plymer clay and then added some beads and put it all together. Sorry for the odd pics, It's past midnight and I was sleepy.

22  A New Doll & Lovely Beach Bag in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Cheiri on: May 14, 2009 08:20:56 PM
I loved KISS's Kiki Doll Pattern, and couldn't wait to make my own! So, I did. I haven't named my doll yet, but she is a cutie, if I do say so myself. [She's on Ravelry, if you're interested.]

I added pipe cleaners to her arms instead of stuffing to make them somewhat poseable.

Now she just needs some clothes, haha.

Also... My mom has recently taken a liking to being a beach bum, so I decided this adorable beach bag would be perfect for her for Mothers Day where she could store all her beach item needs, such as her favorite book, sunglasses, a drink, and suntan lotion. She picked out the yarn for me before she even knew what I was doing. I made it bigger than the pattern suggested (mine is on top, the pattern's size is on bottom). [Again, on  Ravelry.]

24  Piggy + Birdies in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Cheiri on: April 13, 2009 07:10:54 PM
You know, I typed up like seven intros to this, but I really can't think of anything else to say! I made these after an attempt at making up my own pattern for a cow. I used Wayuki's Bird Pattern and some random pig pattern that I don't have right now, but could find if you wanted it. Thanks for stopping by =)

Piggy:

Birdies:

I accidentally made the two green ones with huge beaks, because I thought "two dc bobble st" meant TWO normal-sized bobble stitches... hehe!

Group Shot:

I have more and size comparisons if you like.

Thank you!

25  Ethyl The Octopus & Her Little Apple in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Cheiri on: April 11, 2009 04:45:02 PM
So, these are the first things I've ever crocheted that A) actually look like something and B) could follow a pattern with.

I'm extremely happy =) First, here's Ethyl, whom I made from 11:00 PM until 6:00 AM all in one sitting! I used PepperKitty's Octopus Pattern for her. (I just added some pink chalk pastel to her "cheeks" to give her a little blush - I'll post pictures of it if you would like.)

And, I made a little apple before Ethyl from Petite_Tricoteuse's Apple Pattern.

These have really inspired me to crochet more! Now, I know I can do it  Grin

26  Re: Octopode Pandemonium! (Now with Tutorial!) in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Cheiri on: April 11, 2009 02:55:39 AM

(Ignore the date, it's completely wrong. It's 4/11/09 right now)
This is TOO CUTE. I love your octopi, and thank you sooooo much for the pattern! I never thought I'd be able to complete a pattern of something so delishishly cute, but I made my own little octopus and I'm so proud!

I started her at about 11:00 PM and just now finished her, at 6:00 AM. Sorry if this post is really incoherant.... that's why.

I just grabbed a crappy camera to take a quick pic of her to share... but tomorrow I'll get out my real camera and take nice ones in the sunshine =)

The yarn is a light beige (everythingis warmer in real life than in the picture) with specks of red, orange, yellow, green and turquoise in it. I superglued some googley eyes on her and pinned a little ribbon bow to her head (I also have ribbons with whales on them, hehe) for more cuteness! I just can't believe how adorable she is. Thank you SOOO MUCH for this pattern!  Kiss

Edit// Better pictures.

27  Re: Bushels of Apples, WITH PATTERN in Amigurumi: Completed Projects by Cheiri on: April 10, 2009 08:41:58 PM
I made one! I need to upload pictures, but I just wanted to pop in and say: This was the first real thing I crocheted! I've always started things but not finished, or wasn't able to follow the pattern, but this was the first time I was able to follow a pattern and actually make something that looks like something! Hahaha.  Grin Thanks so, so much for this, and I'll post photos once I get them!  Kiss

edit// a picture!

29  ~:Carnival-Themed-Foods:~ {*7 Images*} in Polymer Clay: Completed Projects by Cheiri on: June 29, 2008 06:14:05 PM
Ooo, first topic here. I feel special, ahaha. Well anywho, a few weeks ago I had the sudden urge to make some carnival foods with the limited supplies I have ^^; I need to go get some TLS and smoothers and such... now, onto the food!

Caramel Apples (One of my favorites to eat xD)

A cuppycake and a candycane... (Umm. Don't ask how these pertain to carnival food... ^^;)

Lolipops

Chocolates with some sort of raspeberry or cherry or strawberry filling + a bite taken out of them.

Hotdogs!! (These turned otu best of them all, IMO)

Cotton Candy (I want some so bad TT_TT)

Cuppycakes + a bad wannabe cuppycake + terrible cookie.

And lastly, Popcorn.
