1  Harry Potter 'Lumos' wand (with tutorial) in Costumes: Completed Projects by kiss-chasing on: August 04, 2011 04:46:51 AM
My Harry Potter obsession is reaching critical levels.
The other day, drunken enthusiasm lead me to begin this project. (Don't solder while drunk kids, it's a bad idea)

And because it was requested on another site: Tutorial!
I forgot to specify that I used a 12v battery and I've since learnt that you DO need the resistor.

2  Stained-glass inspired cushion in Weaving: Completed Projects by kiss-chasing on: July 25, 2008 06:13:25 PM
my first post of my work, hurrah!
this was a college project i made earlier this year (i'm studying woven textile design).
It's a double fabric and twas done on an 8 shaft handloom using two separate warps.
it's mostly viscose yarn, i was trying to achieve the sort of iridescent, luminous qualities of stained glass.

and a dodgy close-up:

Thanks for looking!
