This was my first pattern and I used a tricky fabric (satin) so some of the seams puckered up.  I used the view B version of New Look 6751 pattern.  I made this for our one year anniversary because I really wanted to wear a little black dress.  Every girl needs a little black dress right?

I needed more button up shirts for work so I decided to take a stab at making my own.
First I cut up an old button up shirt that fit nicely to use as a pattern.

Then I cut up an old skirt I had that was made from a very delicate Indian Silk.
I put some little capped sleeves on and used a black thread for stitching detail.
I finally used how to use my buttonhole stitch on my Singer so I added tons of buttons!

to lindsycarranza: it is a bit see-though, but it's not too noticable in person!  Camera flash brings out too much detail!
