1  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Craftalongs / Ongoing Stash-a-long? on: May 22, 2011 09:18:10 PM
The destashing topic is extremely popular, but what about those of us who don't have very many craft supplies?  Cheesy

Let's make (or collect) things that we can more readily use in our crafting:
-Various papers (stained, aged, burned, painted)
-Embellishments
-Rubber stamps
-Beads
-Jump rings, eye pins, etc.
-Inchie/ATC blanks
-Magazine cutouts
-Primed surfaces for altered art
-Old books

-Share ideas for getting more supplies cheaply
-Collect unlikely craft supplies and turn things we find lying around into craft supplies, such as:
--Old newspapers or for text
--Patterned cardboard from old kleenex boxes
--Unpatterned t-shirts
--Wallpaper samples
--Metal from soft drink cans (be careful with these)
--Nail polish/empty bottles

2  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Golden inchies: my first crafts in a year :D on: May 31, 2010 10:23:10 AM
I've been extremely busy with school and haven't had much time for anything really artsy. But I needed a way to de-stress in the midst of studying for exams, so here these are:

All of them together (the details don't show up so well):

They were a lot of fun to do and I'm pretty happy with the result Cheesy

If you guys would like a tutorial, feel free to post and tell me!

School is out! YESSSS I survived freshman year of highschool ._.

So now I have plenty of time to craft! Here are some 1:12 miniature strawberry&cherry tarts, made from Sculpey III. Everything is handmade by me, including the strawberry canes. Cheesy

That's a US dime in the picture. Smiley

Feedback appreciated! Sorry for the less-than-stellar pictures. xD

5  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Juliet mask! :D on: May 29, 2009 11:34:10 PM
This is a little craft I created for English class, when we read Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. This is a mask for Juliet that contains related symbolism found in the play.

Note the lips that are formed into a rose, and the sun/moon/stars. Done in cardstock, painted blue, with details in gold and yellow acrylic paint, with metallic colored pencils, glued beads, and a bit of glitter. Smiley

The decoration along the top are drawn in colored pencil, not glued on.

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Discussion and Questions / What's the deal with inchies? on: May 13, 2009 03:46:58 PM
I've seen a lot of inchies posted on this site. They are so very beautiful, but I don't really...."get" them. xD Are they just another form of art (albeit tiny!), or do they have some special purpose? What do you use your inchies for?
7  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Happy Valentine's Day! on: February 13, 2009 06:58:49 PM
Just finished this project.

The truffles are polymer clay, the box is paper and painted. This is 1:12 scale dollhouse miniature, and the box is about one inch long. Smiley

Hope you guys like it.
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Wire rings! :D on: December 30, 2008 03:04:44 PM
I have cautiously entered the jewelry field. Here are my attempts at wire bead rings.....I cheated a bit by gluing down the beads instead of wrapping them, but oh well. Cheesy

comments/suggestions please! Smiley

10  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / 1:12 miniature Gingerbread House on: November 26, 2008 03:43:00 PM
I haven't made anything in a long time, so when I got a break, I made this little gingerbread house. It's 1:12 scale, measuring a bit less than 1 inch long.

(Please excuse the bad photos. xD)

How is it?
