I just finished making a freezer paper stencil that involved not nearly as much work, and at the end I thought "never again!" I can only imagine what it took to do this!! You have way more patience than I do.
OK! So I have to say that I DON'T sew. Pretty much the only thing I've made was a pirate halloween costume that was WELL beyond my skill level. My mother had to bail me out and make sure that it wouldn't fall apart on me
So, with that being said, I literally ran out to Walmart, bought cheap fabric and made TWO of these! I wanted them as pencil cases. They turned out ADORABLE! I kinda fumbled through the zipper, but overall I think I did a great job. such an easy pattern. THANKS!!!!!
Are you putting borders around each of the t-shirt blocks or are you just going to piece them together? I have TONS of sorority t-shirts that I know I need to do something with...
What are you using to back your quilt? Do you think it would be a bad idea to make another "face" for the back? Does it need more stability? I've never made a quilt before, but with my mom's help, I think I could do this!!! It's all straight stitching. Wish me luck!
I had this page open on my laptop and my button-obsessed mother saw it and immediately begged me to make her one. *sigh* A crafter's job is never done.
Hi everyone! I really need a good not-too-sweet white frosting recipe. I want this to go on basic yellow cake mixes. I have one already for lime/lemon frosting, but I can't seem to find one that I like that's plain. Every experiment I have with buttercream ends up being too sweet for my liking.
I was thinking of maybe cream cheese, but don't know how that would taste on a yellow cake. Something more like what you would get from duncan hines or betty crocker, but not as processed. Any suggestions from the peanut gallery?
To keep going with my new found polymer clay craze, I made cupcake and chocolate chip cookie earrings. This is only me second project, but I think I'm doing quite well! I work in a bakery, so I'm going to wear these every day!
