21  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Valentine's Day / 52 Reasons I think he's swell (Paparazzi amount of pics) on: February 07, 2011 12:54:13 PM
Hi everyone!

I know there are a hundred versions on here, but I truly enjoy taking a gander at the work of others and figured someone might find enjoyment in mine.  Wink

Enjoy!

Probably one of the most important things ever!

ACK!!!

It makes my belly SO happy.

Everyone says he looks like he's a Baldwin brother - seriously. Waiters, cashiers, random people walking down the street....

He doesn't love her, but over the years I've swayed him a bit. Smiley

Okay, so when we first got together he was a total goth boy. We would always joke that he was a freak and I was a punk (see below) and with our forces combined we would one day save the world.

Nothing against babies!!! We've just decided to not have children.

This one just cracked me up. He does have giant hands though - almost disproportionately so.  Cheesy

These look great! I really love the way you executed it. You could use this style for so many things! Is this the part where I say if I'm a Twilight fan or not now?  Cheesy
24  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Re: Fleece Bacon Scarf- Porkly with pics! on: December 03, 2010 10:18:08 AM
My first reaction was "Is that a bacon scarf?!? Why didn't I think of that!". Awesome job! Love it.

The only thing I can thing is to add is some light pink strips in it. Bacon is generally deliciously marble-y with  red, pink and white colors.  Grin

I always wanted to try this! I love it - awesome work!

I adore the "You have a booger one"! Awesome job!
27  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Re: I like reading your toilet seat on: April 08, 2010 10:37:04 AM
Thanks for the compliments everybody!

It was really funny when I gave it to him. I had wrapped it in the comics from the Sunday newspaper, but it was still VERY obviously a toilet seat. He just sort of stared at it like "you're giving me a toilet seat aren't you?". He LOVED it though. He voted it the most unique gift he's ever received!

My husband now demands that I make him a Spawn one. I think we might hang our's on the wall and place a funny picture "inside". I love the peep hole idea too! It makes me wish my front door had one!

Those are wonderful! What a great project. The youngsters might like something like a 52 reasons book. I know most of them are made as "52 reasons I love you", but they could make 52 reasons I'm grateful or 52 things that make me happy. If you're unfamiliar with the project do a search on this site - there are plenty of examples. Wink
29  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Guess Who Revamped - It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Version! on: February 10, 2010 12:01:36 PM
Aw! Thanks everyone!

I hope I inspired everyone to make one of their own. I think personalized Guess Who is an awesome gift - for someone else OR yourself.  Grin

It's funny because a few of the "characters" I included make the game really difficult. I included the "Virgin Mary Water Stain" and "Poop in the Bed" which made my husband giggle like a bunny.

He's gotten the upper hand on me a few times too because of "Carmen". Man or Woman? Totally at the digression of the question answerer!! LOL
30  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Personalized Living Dead Dolls on: February 09, 2010 12:39:57 PM
I made this Wedding present for my two BFFF's who recently joined the ranks of married individuals.

I used Living Dead Dolls purchased on eBay as my bases. I found I was able to wipe off the dolls current lip color, eye color and any other facial features using acetone. I then painted the features I wanted back on using paint markers. Both of them have extensive tattoos and ear piercings - I am not the best artist, but I did what I could using fine line Sharpies. I thought they came out decent as I had to fudge what some of them looked like.  Wink

I had to do a bit of cutting and coloring to the hair. The girl doll I picked already had bright red hair like my BFFF, but she dyes the underside of her hair black so I tried the Sharpie method on the doll. It worked out okay - the black faded a little bit when I washed it, but she wears her hair in buns quite a bit so I just put it up and it became unnoticeable. I cut the boys hair down as much as I could without showing the weird doll scalp. My friend has quite a bit of gray in his hair so I just used a silver paint marker to give him "streaks".  Wink

The clothing is the original they came in, but I did alter it quite a bit to fit their style. I then made a few teeny tiny bracelets and necklaces and paired them with some doll size 40's - ta-da!

Finally..... the final product!

Gasp! Put some clothes on - you're no exhibitionist!

Clothed and loving it

Ready to be delivered in their little coffin

"What is it? It could be anything! It could be a boat!"

Yay! They love them!

Comments welcome! Cheesy
