2  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Completed Projects / Some Critters .:Caution-Image Intensive:. on: July 10, 2008 02:27:33 AM
First, I want to apologize for the crappy pictures to follow.  My webcam does them absolutely no justice.

So, I just randomly made myself a cute little brown bunny last night...

and I took him down to our local Stitch-n-Bitch group tonight and the girl that lives on the -other- side of the local yarn shop (who shares my name, by the way) saw him and just did the whole 'squee' thing over him.  I came home (after S-n-B, of course) and started right to work on him...  But she wanted him pink.
Well, I had a -lot- of left-over pink because I had to make my own.  So, other critters were born...
<--this is her paid for bunny.

And while making all my pink critters, I decided I wanted a couple cow stitch markers, too.  Like Mr. Pigglesworth, just up above.

And, when I was making my bunny last night, I decided to use the left-over clay and make bread.  XD  Mini-bread, of course.

And a fortune cookie.

Please let me know what you think!  Thank you for looking!!
3  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Getting Started With Polymer Clay (Check here before asking questions) on: July 08, 2008 08:07:46 PM
hi.  i know this isn't exactly a clay-based question, but it relates.  i found this adorable tutorial on youtube for making mini candy apples (1/12th scale for doll houses) and it wants you to use red acrylic paint diluted with TLS for the 'candy' part on the apples.  i was wondering if i could use clear coat glaze paint to thin the red paint down with instead of the TLS, since i don't have any, and have no ready way to get any.  that, and it would avoid re-baking the apples.

this is just a super table.  the legs are so well done, and to do the top as a box as well as a table is just superb.  what a great way to show your children the things of your own childhood.  and the fact that you can use it as a teaching tool is even better.

you did a super-cute job with this doll.  ^^  your recipient was very lucky.
8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: My cookie rainbow :oD & trinkets on: June 15, 2008 11:56:37 PM
those are all just too cute.  ^^  i just use white sculpy and paint everything.  colored clay would be much easier, but i'm afraid of them turning color in my oven...  my white clay turns a dark purplish color...
9  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / SuperSculpy pendants on: June 15, 2008 11:40:55 PM
this makes my second major post here at craftster.  yay me!  i thought i'd share some of the other things i do.

out of boredom one day, and after having a Stargate SG:1 marathon, i decided to try and make a 'dumbed down' stargate pendant.  i'm rather happy with the results and have sold...  3 currently.  possibly one more.  all for $5, each.  it really blows my mind that people are paying $5 for them, but i'm not really complaining.

after making this, i decided to try a 'Mario mushroom'.  when one of the people i know from the pixel/dolling world found out i was going to make it, she begged me to make her a poison mushroom.  so, i made this for her.

i also make little macrame (sp?) bracelets.  sometimes i add things to them, sometimes i don't.  here's a bracelet i did with a flower on it.

oh, yes.  and who can forget my pie magnets?  sheer boredom brought these on...

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: New to the Craft on: June 15, 2008 11:27:41 PM
um...  lots.  XD  i've already got 18 squares.  i'm edging them in black and then hooking them together my own way.  it's giving the front of the blanket a little ridge around each square, but i like it.  and i guess that's really what matters, yes?

here's a crappy webcam pic of the first 9 squares together:
