21  3 purses in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by tigrisgalaxy on: July 09, 2008 05:57:01 AM
I have been busy with making stuff, but haven't had time to take pics of them, finally I did. Here's three purses. The first one is a fused plastic bag, quilted together purse. I used Target, Publix, and Wal-Mart bags for it and the lining is just beige fabric with dragonflies or butterflies on it. The second one, I actually made two years ago in school. I entered it into a contest and got first prize. The last one is just a plain brown leather purse that I painted butterflies on it, cause I couldn't stand the boringness of the plain brown. That's about it! Comments welcome  Smiley Smiley Smiley

22  handmade postcard in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by tigrisgalaxy on: July 03, 2008 12:21:22 PM
I made this FL postcard for someone from postcrossing. It was my first time making one. The person liked it well enough, so for that I'm happy. The pic is a little blurry sorry. I was rushing to take it before giving it up.

23  decoupaged filing cabinet in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by tigrisgalaxy on: May 29, 2008 07:47:09 AM
So my parents gave me this filing cabinet, which is filled with tons of crafty supplies and writing things, but the top,(don't have a before pic), was ewww. It was all rusty and I could not bear looking at it. At first, I was going to paint it, but I wanted to try decoupaging something. I figured this would be a good time to start. I used Wuzzles and a few Baby Blues comics from the newspaper. I'm ok with how it looks for my first try. I used Mod Podge. I was afraid I would use it all, but I didn't, so I was really glad about that.

24  thank you card...only not a card in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by tigrisgalaxy on: May 22, 2008 01:54:45 PM
I needed to make a thank you card for someone that gave me some clothes, and I wanted it to be different...that should be my motto "I wanted it to be different"...so I saw my "Bend Me, Shape Me" book and thought, "Oh, yeah, have to make that into a card." And this is what I got. You can see my really terrible handwriting and my...kindergarten painting. I don't usually paint that bad, but the space is cd-sized.

Thanks for looking!

25  Flower Ball Origami *With website for pattern* in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by tigrisgalaxy on: May 22, 2008 10:24:51 AM
I got really into origami about a year ago, and even though now I don't do it as much, I still like it a lot. I've seen one of these flower balls on here before, but I found the pattern on the internet and made one out of magazine pics(my favorite paper source). It was my first BIG origami project and I'm pretty happy about that. My favorite flower is the one with the eyes Smileyhttp://puupuu.ojaru.jp/zu/densyo/densyo1.html The pattern is really easy. I used 6 inch squares for my flowers.

26  Bend Me, Shape Me book in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General by tigrisgalaxy on: May 22, 2008 10:19:33 AM
A couple of years ago I got this really cool altered book book(a book about altered books) And in that book there was this really cool pattern for this "Bend Me, Shape Me" book. It was inspired by a slinky. I made mine out of magazine pics, because I was just making a prototype for later books. So just a couple of my favorite pages from my "Bend Me, Shape Me" book.

27  anniversary medieval present in Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by tigrisgalaxy on: May 22, 2008 08:18:56 AM
This is my second post in this category  Smiley Yay for me!! I did this for my parents anniversary. They had a medieval themed wedding, so I made medieval style doors out of book covers and printed out their favorite pic from the wedding and painted on top of the pic to give it a medieval-ish painting feeling. It's supposed to have a rustic look to it. Comments welcome Smiley

I've seen some really cool reconned watches on here, and so I used them for inspiration on this one. Sorry for the lame pics. It's hard to get a non-blurry one. I'll try to get some better pics up.
