1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Netbook bag on: January 28, 2010 07:25:49 AM
With the new PC item that has hit the market not to long ago, I decided to simplify my home office and go for it.  I sold three computers and with that money I could buy a cute little white HP netbook.  Of course now I need a new bag for it.  Have you seen the price and the uglyness of PC bags.

So I thought, maybe I can do some thing for now, I don't travel much and wont use it a whole lot but at least I now have a bag to protect my new toy.  Dug around my fabrics, etc. and come up with this.

It is canvas with 1/2 inch foam and felt lining, because felt is soft and should not mar the finish.

Another out of print pattern turned something new.  I found dk green strapping for the waist and used D-rings for closures.  I hope my best friend up north likes it.  It goes in the mail this week.  Comments???

4  SEWING IN GENERAL / Machine Embroidery: Completed Projects / Bags I have made on: July 01, 2009 11:59:48 AM
I made three of these for my daughter and one for her daughter.  They will be mailed this week.  Hope u like them

I use mostly designs from www.designsbysick.com.  My favorites are Jacobean designs.  The yellow bag is canvas, the green bag is quilted fabric, the others are by the yard polyester felt.  I used tear away backing for them all.

I have been lurking for over a year now.  These are bags I have made for my daughter and her daughter.  They will be shipped this week.  Hope you like them.

As you can see I am a big fan of digital embroidery.

While browsing through Simplicity patterns I came across the no longer in print patterns.  I found one I just loved and got it much cheaper on eBay.  Here are the first four I have made.  I am totally hooked on these cute little bags and have more material laid out for the next three.  The solid material is by the yard polyester felt, which I love working with.   Waddaya think???
