51  Re: Samhain/Halloween WWP Round 15 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by kmichele_craftyfae on: November 23, 2009 12:09:41 PM
ok...i've finally gotten some pictures taken of the package wind and luna sent me.

A picture of everything and my cat Orion who just had to be in the picture too.

some fun halloween fabric (orange with spiders, the black is a sheer with spider webs, and a black and purple fabric), fun embellishments for scrapbooking or to embellish my bos, an autumn notepad (which will be perfect at my computer), a package of foam stickers for my son to craft with, and a skein of japanese yarn.

a halloween mug which i love, a clay wall hanging, and a pair of foraged wood earrings and necklace which are wonderful.

a yule man (the green man already for yule) centerpiece for my table and a fun yarn and ribbon scarf with charms.

a wonderful painted box by luna for all my special treasures and runes for my altar.

and a set of nesting faery trays. i've always wanted a set of nesting trays =)

everything has such wonderful and warm energies. thank you wind and luna! i love it all  Smiley

52  Re: The Poppet Mini Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by kmichele_craftyfae on: July 15, 2009 08:12:38 AM
I received my poppet from hotgluegert today. Totally wasn't expecting it either, I thought it was coming tomorrow since the usps site said that it was still in Rochester. In fact my son knew it was here just by looking at the box the mailman was carrying. Makes me wonder who was more excited to get it, me or my son  Cheesy

Anyway, this is my poppet that I named Bleu. She is the cutest and my favorite color. She is a nature faery and enjoys all things nature, especially flowers and trees.

Here she is taking a rest in the tree in my front yard with her magic star wand. She really enjoys this tree because it's where the bird feeder is and gets tons of sparrows and finches through out the day. It even has the occasional hummingbird visiting.

She even brought me a little something other than her cute self. It's a fairy tale! It's a cute little book complete with the title on the spine. And hand painted too.

OH! But it holds a secret! A special place for notes and treasures!

Inside I found her little magic wand. A blue necklace and a strand of magnetic beads and such that I have decided to call the "Magnetic whatever I want" since I can wear it as a bracelet or an anklet or a necklace, whatever I want! It's even fun to play with cause I'm sticking and unsticking it as I type lol. I've added these pictures as thumbnails to save posting space because it could get long with all the pictures I've taken lol. My 4 yr old wanted soo much to help me take pictures so I put him to work. He is holding up little treasures from my swap partner.

The necklace:

The Magic Wand:

My son running away with Bleu's wand saying "Zippy Zap Flip Flop Floop" lol. I guess it's easier than Abracadabra.

Bleu had to stop and smell the flowers when she arrived. Since it was a gorgeous sunny day and the Bee Balm was blooming, she had to indulge.

Here is a picture of my cat Tabatha coming to investigate the new arrival. Nothing gets in the house without Tabby checking it out.

Well, I guess Bleu has been accepted into our crazy family. From the looks of it, I need to have a talk with Tabby and remind her that Bleu is my poppet not hers.

Well considering that Tabby is now sleeping next to me and happens to be on Bleu's lap, I would just guess that Tabby approves as well.

Thank you soo much hotgluegert for being my partner! I really enjoyed it! And thank you Averyg and Amigurl55 for organizing and making it an enjoyable swap. I'm glad this one was my first and I can honestly say, it won't be my last  Smiley I am definitely going to be putting more pictures on my blog later. Thank you again hotgluegert! I love her!!

54  The Faery Poppet Glitter - My first swap **Image overload** in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by kmichele_craftyfae on: July 14, 2009 05:25:14 AM
I participated in the Mini Poppet Swap and made for my partner, hotgluegert, a faery to go with her faery collection. Her name is Glitter and she was a ball to make. I used the Eleanor pattern from craftewoman and the poppet dress pattern from ghilie. Thank you so much!!!

I really enjoyed crafting her and hope she is well loved in her new home  Smiley

You can see the pictures my partner posted here in the swap gallery http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=310633.60 . And the wonderful poppets everyone has been making in the poppet along here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=205341.0.

And here are a few pictures that I had taken before she made her trip to her new home. Oh I do apologize if the pictures come out huge, I tried to post them in a small size that wasn't too small. This is my first time posting a project of any kind and am getting used to the whole posting process  Smiley

This is Glitter with her wings and faery dress.

Glitter without her wings, they are removable. There are 2 little eye hooks sewn to her back that the wings attach to. The wings were a bit heavy for velcro I think lol.

Here she is enjoying my son's swing set. You can see the back of her glittery wings here.

Glitter's second outfit she was sent with. The top was crafted by myself which I'm pretty proud of. And the pants were mini versions of the ones found here http://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=254336.0

This is a picture of Glitter and her caterpillar buddy made from pompoms.

A shot of everything Glitter took with her to her new home.

I really had a ball participating in this swap and hope to do more swaps in the future.

Thanks for looking!! Poppet kisses!!

i know! not much of a teaser, but this little guy (caterpillar) just makes me giggle with happiness.
